Installation & Setup

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on clean, dry, level surface.

Install charcoal water filter: Soak filter in water for 5 minutes, then insert into filter holder in water reservoir.
Insert permanent filter: Place gold-tone filter into filter basket.
Add water: Fill reservoir with cold water up to 12-cup mark.
Plug into 120V AC outlet.

WARNING! Do not immerse coffeemaker, cord, or plug in water. Keep away from heat sources.

First-Time Use

Before brewing first pot, run a cleaning cycle.

Fill water reservoir to 12-cup mark with cold water.
Place empty carafe on warming plate.
Press and hold CLEAN button for 3 seconds to start cleaning cycle.
Discard water after cycle completes.
Repeat with fresh water if desired.
