Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on clean, dry, level surface.

  1. Remove all packaging materials from inside and outside the unit.
  2. Wash carafe, lid, filter basket, and permanent filter with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly.
  3. Insert charcoal water filter into the filter holder in the water reservoir (soak filter first for 15 minutes).
  4. Fill water reservoir with cold water to maximum line and run a brewing cycle without coffee to clean the system.
  5. Plug into a 120V AC outlet.

WARNING! Do not immerse base, cord, or plug in water. Ensure hands are dry when handling plug.

First-Time Setup

Plug in the unit; the LCD will light up.

  1. Set the clock: Press and hold CLOCK button, then use HOUR and MIN buttons to set current time.
  2. Program brew time (optional): Press PROGRAM, then set desired brew time using HOUR and MIN.
  3. Select 1-4 cup setting: Press 1-4 CUP button when making small batches.
  4. Adjust auto shut-off: Default is 0-4 hours; press AUTO OFF to cycle through options.

CAUTION! Place on heat-resistant surface away from edges. Keep away from children.

Brewing Coffee

Use fresh, cold water and medium grind coffee.

  1. Fill water reservoir to desired cup level.
  2. Place permanent filter in brew basket. Add coffee (1 tablespoon per cup).
  3. Place empty carafe on warming area (ensure lid is closed).
  4. Press BREW to start immediate brewing, or set programmed time.
  5. Pause & Serve: Press BREW (or lift carafe) during brewing to pause; replace carafe to resume.
  6. When brewing completes, audible alert sounds and auto shut-off begins countdown.

Tip: For best taste, replace charcoal water filter every 60 cycles or 2 months.

Cleaning & Maintenance

Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance.

  1. Daily: Wash carafe, lid, and filter basket with warm, soapy water.
  2. Monthly descaling: Run cleaning cycle with vinegar solution (half water, half white vinegar).
  3. Charcoal filter: Replace every 60 cycles or when indicator flashes.
  4. Exterior: Wipe with damp cloth; do not use abrasive cleaners.

WARNING! Unplug before cleaning. Never immerse base in water.

Programming

Set the unit to brew automatically at a specific time.

  1. Ensure clock is set correctly.
  2. Press PROGRAM; PROGRAM light will blink.
  3. Use HOUR and MIN to set desired brew time.
  4. Press PROGRAM again to confirm.
  5. Add water and coffee the night before; unit will brew at set time.
  6. To cancel program, press and hold PROGRAM until light turns off.

Note: Power interruption resets clock and program; reset after outage.

Care & Storage

Unplug and cool completely before storage. Store in a dry place.

CAUTION! Do not use carafe on stovetop or in microwave. Avoid extreme temperatures.
