Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on a clean, dry, level surface.

Remove all packaging materials from inside and outside the unit.
Wash the carafe lid, brew basket, and permanent filter with warm, soapy water. Rinse and dry.
Insert the charcoal water filter into the filter holder in the water reservoir.
Fill the water reservoir completely and run a brewing cycle with only water to clean the internal system. Discard water.

WARNING! Do not immerse the base, cord, or plug in water or any other liquid. Handle the thermal carafe with care to avoid damage.

First-Time Setup

Plug the coffeemaker into a standard 120V AC outlet.

Set the Clock: Press and hold the HOUR and MIN buttons to set the current time.
Prime the Filter: Soak the charcoal water filter in cold water for 15 minutes, then rinse under cold water.
Install Filter: Place the rinsed filter into the filter holder in the water reservoir.
Set Auto Shut-Off: Press the AUTO OFF button to select the desired shut-off delay (0-4 hours).

Programming & Operation

For manual brewing or programmed start.

Manual Brew: Add water and coffee. Press POWER, then press BREW to start immediately.
Program Brew: Set the clock. Press PROGRAM, then use HOUR/MIN to set desired start time. Press PROGRAM again to confirm. The PROGRAM ON light will illuminate.
Brew Pause: During brewing, you may press BREW to pause and pour a cup. Press BREW again to resume.
