Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on a clean, dry, level surface.

  1. Remove all packaging materials from inside and outside the coffeemaker.
  2. Wash the carafe, lid, and permanent filter with warm, soapy water. Rinse and dry thoroughly.
  3. Insert the charcoal water filter into the filter holder as per instructions.
  4. Plug the power cord into a standard 120V AC electrical outlet.

WARNING! Do not immerse the coffeemaker base, cord, or plug in water or other liquids. Ensure the carafe is properly seated on the warming plate before brewing.

First-Time Setup

Before first use, perform a cleaning cycle to remove any manufacturing residues.

  1. Fill the water reservoir to the 12-cup mark with clean, cold water.
  2. Place the empty carafe on the warming plate.
  3. Turn the coffeemaker ON without adding coffee. Let the full cycle run.
  4. Discard the water. The coffeemaker is now ready for use.
  5. Set the clock by pressing and holding the HOUR and MIN buttons.

CAUTION! Use only cold water. Do not use the coffeemaker without the carafe in place.

Cleaning & Maintenance

Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and longevity.

  1. Unplug the coffeemaker and allow to cool completely.
  2. Wipe the exterior with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners.
  3. Clean the carafe, lid, and permanent filter with warm, soapy water after each use.
  4. Replace the charcoal water filter every 60 brew cycles or every 2 months.
  5. Descale monthly if using hard water: Run a cycle with equal parts water and white vinegar, then run 2 cycles with clean water.

Tip: Never immerse the base, cord, or plug in water. Always ensure all parts are dry before reassembling.

Programming & Operation

Supports manual brewing and 24-hour advance programming.

  1. Manual Brew: Add water and coffee, press POWER ON. Brewing begins immediately.
  2. Program Brew: Press PROGRAM, then use HOUR/MIN to set desired brew time. Press PROGRAM again to confirm. The AUTO light will illuminate.
  3. Brew Pause: Press the POWER button during brewing to pause. Press again to resume.
  4. 1-4 Cup Setting: Press the 1-4 CUP button before brewing for 1 to 4 cups. The light will turn on.
  5. Auto Shut-Off: Press AUTO OFF to cycle through 0, 2, or 4-hour shut-off delay after brewing.

WARNING! Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs. Keep cord away from heated surfaces.
