Installation

Unpack and inspect all contents. Place on a clean, flat, stable, and dry surface near a power outlet.

  1. Remove all packaging materials and stickers from the unit.
  2. Wash the glass carafe, reusable filter, permanent K-Cup adapter, and frothing pitcher with warm, soapy water. Rinse and dry thoroughly.
  3. Insert the charcoal water filter into the reservoir: Soak filter in water for 15 minutes, then place in the holder inside the empty reservoir.
  4. Fill the reservoir with cold water and place it back into the unit.
  5. Plug the power cord into a 120V AC outlet.

WARNING! Ensure the unit is on a heat-resistant surface away from edges. Keep cord away from hot surfaces.

First-Time Setup

Power on the unit; the display will illuminate.

  1. Prime the system: Run a brew cycle without coffee (using water only) through both the 12-cup and single-serve sides to cleanse the internal lines.
  2. Set the clock: Press and hold the CLOCK button, then use the HOUR and MIN buttons to set the correct time.
  3. Program auto-brew (optional): Press the PROGRAM button, set the desired brew time using HOUR/MIN, then press PROGRAM again to confirm.
  4. Select brew strength (12-cup side): Press the STRENGTH button to toggle between BOLD and REGULAR.

CAUTION! Do not operate without water in the reservoir. The hot water dispenser and frother produce steam—keep hands clear.

Brewing Coffee

Using the 12-Cup Side:

  1. Fill reservoir with water.
  2. Place paper or reusable filter in the filter basket. Add ground coffee (1 tbsp per cup).
  3. Place empty carafe on the warming plate.
  4. Press POWER. To brew immediately, press BREW. For auto-brew, ensure PROGRAM is set.
  5. Use BREW PAUSE to pour a cup during brewing.

Using the Single-Serve Side:

  1. Insert a K-Cup pod or fill the permanent adapter with ground coffee.
  2. Place a mug on the drip tray.
  3. Press POWER, then select CUP SIZE (6, 8, 10 oz). Press BREW.
  4. For hot water only, press HOT WATER button.

WARNING! Never operate without the carafe or a mug in place. The brewed coffee and hot water are very hot.

Using the Milk Frother

For cappuccinos, lattes, or hot chocolate.

  1. Fill the frothing pitcher with cold milk to the MAX line (do not exceed).
  2. Place pitcher under the frother nozzle, ensuring it is securely seated.
  3. Turn the frothing dial to desired setting (low for steamed milk, high for thick froth).
  4. Press the FROTHER power button. The indicator light will illuminate.
  5. Frothing/steaming will automatically stop after about 90 seconds. Carefully remove the pitcher.
  6. Wipe the frother nozzle with a damp cloth immediately after use.

CAUTION! The pitcher and milk become extremely hot. Always hold the handle. Never immerse the frother base in water.

Care & Cleaning

Unplug and allow to cool completely before cleaning.

  1. Daily: Empty and rinse carafe, reusable filters, and frothing pitcher. Wipe exterior with a soft, damp cloth.
  2. Descaling: Perform every 3-6 months or as needed. Run a brew cycle with a mixture of equal parts white vinegar and water (do not use coffee). Follow with 2-3 cycles of clean water to rinse.
  3. Charcoal Filter: Replace every 60 brew cycles or every 2 months.
  4. Frother Nozzle: Clean with a damp cloth after each use. Deep clean weekly by soaking the removable nozzle in warm, soapy water.

CAUTION! Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads. Never immerse the main unit, cord, or plug in water.
