Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on clean, dry, level surface near power outlet.

Remove all packaging materials and stickers.
Wash carafe, reusable filter, and scoop with warm soapy water; rinse thoroughly.
Insert charcoal water filter into reservoir holder and soak for 10 minutes.
Fill water reservoir completely and run a water-only brew cycle through both the carafe and single-serve outlets to clean the system.
Plug into 120V AC power outlet.

WARNING! Do not immerse base, cord, or plug in water. Keep away from heat sources and edges.

First-Time Setup

After initial cleaning, set clock and preferences.

Set Clock: Press and hold CLOCK button, use HOUR and MINUTE buttons to set time.
Program Auto Brew: Press PROGRAM button, set ON time using HOUR/MINUTE, then press PROGRAM again to confirm.
Select Brew Strength: Use BREW STRENGTH button to toggle between REGULAR and BOLD for carafe brewing.
Test Single-Serve: Place mug on drip tray, insert K-Cup® pod or reusable filter with grounds, select cup size (6, 8, 10 oz), press BREW button.

Controls and Settings

Brewing Coffee

For Carafe: Use ground coffee with filter. For Single-Serve: Use K-Cup® pod or reusable filter with grounds.

Fill water reservoir to desired level.
Carafe: Place filter and coffee grounds (1 tbsp per cup), place carafe on warming plate, press BREW.
Single-Serve: Place mug, insert pod or filter, select size, press BREW.
Hot Water: Place mug, press HOT WATER button.
Pause & Serve: Carafe can be removed during brew (pause feature).
Auto Brew: Set PROGRAM time; machine will brew automatically.

Tip: Use fresh, cold water and medium grind coffee for best results.

Using the Milk Frother

Creates frothed milk for cappuccinos, lattes, hot chocolate.

Ensure frother is clean and dry.
Pour cold milk into frother up to MAX line (8 oz) or MIN line for less foam.
Turn control knob to HOT (for hot froth) or COLD (for cold froth).
Press power button; indicator light will illuminate.
Frother will heat/cool and froth automatically; dispense into cup when ready.
Turn knob to OFF and unplug after use.

WARNING! Do not overfill frother. Use only milk or milk alternatives; do not froth other liquids.

Cleaning & Maintenance

Daily: Empty grounds, rinse carafe and filter. Weekly: Descale with vinegar solution; clean frother with warm soapy water.

Unplug and cool completely before cleaning.
Wash carafe, lid, reusable filter, and scoop in warm soapy water.
Wipe exterior with damp cloth; do not use abrasive cleaners.
Descale: Mix equal parts white vinegar and water, run through brew cycles, then run 2-3 cycles with clean water.
Frother Cleaning: Rinse immediately after use; wash removable parts with soap and water.

CAUTION! Never immerse base in water. Replace charcoal water filter every 2 months or 60 brew cycles.
