Installation

Unpack and inspect all contents. Place on a clean, dry, level surface near an electrical outlet.

  1. Remove all packaging materials and stickers.
  2. Wash carafe, filter basket, and reusable filter with warm, soapy water. Rinse and dry.
  3. Insert charcoal water filter into the filter holder in the water reservoir (soak filter first for 15 minutes).
  4. Fill water reservoir completely and run a brew cycle without coffee to clean the system.
  5. Plug power cord into a 120V AC outlet.

WARNING! Do not immerse the Coffee Center in water or any other liquid. Ensure hands are dry when handling the plug.

First-Time Setup

After installation, set the clock and program your preferred brew time.

  1. Press and hold the CLOCK button. Use HOUR and MIN buttons to set the correct time.
  2. To program auto brew: Press PROG, then set the desired brew time using HOUR and MIN. Press PROG again to confirm.
  3. Select brew strength: Press the STRENGTH button to toggle between REGULAR and BOLD.
  4. For single-serve brewing: Place a cup under the dispenser, insert pod or ground coffee, and select cup size.

CAUTION! Place the Coffee Center on a stable, heat-resistant surface away from edges.

Brewing Coffee

For 12-Cup Carafe or Single-Serve.

  1. Fill water reservoir to desired level (marked indicators).
  2. Place gold-tone filter in filter basket (carafe) or insert pod/grounds in single-serve holder.
  3. Add medium grind coffee (1 tbsp per cup recommended).
  4. Place empty carafe on warming plate or cup under single-serve dispenser.
  5. Press BREW to start immediate brewing, or wait for programmed time.
  6. For brew pause: Remove carafe during brewing (up to 20 seconds) to pour a cup.
  7. When brewing complete, auto shut-off activates after 2 hours.

Tip: Use filtered water and fresh coffee for best flavor. Descale every 3-6 months.

Using the Hot Water Dispenser

Provides hot water without brewing coffee.

  1. Ensure water reservoir has sufficient water.
  2. Press HOT WATER button. Indicator light will illuminate.
  3. Wait approximately 2 minutes for water to heat.
  4. When READY light turns on, place cup under dispenser and press lever.
  5. Release lever to stop flow.
  6. Press HOT WATER button again to turn off.

WARNING! Hot water can cause burns. Keep hands and face away from dispenser during use.

Care & Cleaning

Unplug and cool completely before cleaning.

  1. Exterior: Wipe with soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners.
  2. Carafe and filter basket: Wash with warm, soapy water. Do not immerse base or heating element.
  3. Descale: Run a brew cycle with equal parts white vinegar and water, then run 2 cycles with clean water.
  4. Charcoal filter: Replace every 60 brew cycles or 2 months.
  5. Single-serve brewer: Use cleaning tool to clear clogs in needle.

CAUTION! Never use harsh chemicals, steel wool, or immerse the unit in water.
