Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on a clean, dry, level surface near a power outlet and water source.

Install charcoal water filter: Soak filter in cold water for 15 minutes, then insert into filter holder in water reservoir.
Fill water reservoir: Lift lid and fill with fresh, cold water to desired level.
Place carafe: Ensure thermal carafe is properly seated on warming plate.
Plug into AC power outlet.

WARNING! Do not immerse unit, cord, or plug in water or other liquids. Ensure hands are dry when handling.

First-Time Setup

Before first use, clean all removable parts and run a brewing cycle with water only.

Clean parts: Wash carafe, filter basket, and water reservoir with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly.
Prime the system: Fill reservoir, place empty carafe, and run a full brew cycle without coffee.
Set clock: Press and hold CLOCK button, use HOUR and MIN buttons to set time.
Program auto brew: Press PROGRAM button, set desired brew time using HOUR and MIN.

CAUTION! Use only cold water in reservoir. Do not use without water.

Brewing Coffee

For 12-Cup Carafe or Single-Serve.

Fill reservoir with cold water to desired level.
Add coffee: Place filter in basket, add ground coffee (1 tbsp per cup). For single-serve, use pod or ground coffee in holder.
Select brew strength: Press BREW STRENGTH for Regular or Bold.
Start brew: Press BREW button. For programmed brew, ensure time is set.
Brew Pause: Press BREW during cycle to pause and pour a cup.
Auto Shut-Off: Unit turns off automatically after selected time (0, 2, 4 hrs).

Tip: Use fresh, cold water and medium grind coffee for best results.

Using the Hot Water Dispenser

Provides hot water on demand for beverages or instant foods.

Ensure unit is on and water reservoir is filled.
Press HOT WATER button; indicator light will illuminate when ready.
Place cup under dispenser spout.
Press lever to dispense hot water; release to stop.
Allow unit to reheat between uses (approx. 30 seconds).

WARNING! Hot water can cause burns. Keep away from children.

Cleaning & Maintenance

Daily: Empty and rinse carafe, filter basket. Weekly: Clean exterior with damp cloth.

Charcoal Filter: Replace every 60 days or after 60 uses. Reusable Filter: Wash with warm, soapy water; do not use abrasive cleaners.

CAUTION! Unplug before cleaning. Do not use harsh chemicals or immerse unit.

Descaling

Descale when DESCALE light illuminates (approx. every 3 months).

Mix descaling solution with 4 cups water in carafe.
Pour into water reservoir.
Place empty carafe on warming plate.
Press BREW to start cycle; discard solution after cycle.
Run 2-3 cycles with fresh water to rinse.

WARNING! Use only provided descaling solution or approved descaler.
