Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on clean, dry, level surface.

Remove all packaging materials and stickers.
Wash carafes, filter basket, and charcoal filter holder with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly.
Insert charcoal water filter into holder and soak in cold water for 15 minutes.
Place filter holder into water reservoir.
Plug into 120V AC outlet.

WARNING! Do not immerse base, cord, or plug in water. Ensure hands are dry when handling plug.

First-Time Setup

Before first use, run a brewing cycle with water only to clean the system.

Fill water reservoir to 12-cup line with fresh cold water.
Place empty carafe on warming plate.
Press POWER to turn unit on.
Press BREW to start cycle.
Discard water after cycle completes.
Repeat if desired.

CAUTION! Do not use without water in reservoir. Ensure carafe is properly positioned.

Brewing Coffee

For optimal coffee flavor, use fresh cold water and quality coffee grounds.

Fill water reservoir to desired cup level.
Insert charcoal filter (if using).
Place paper filter or permanent filter in basket.
Add coffee grounds (1 tablespoon per cup).
Place empty carafe on warming plate.
Press POWER to turn on.
Select brew strength if desired.
Press BREW to start cycle.
Use BREW PAUSE feature to pour a cup during brewing.
Carafe will remain on warming plate (auto shut-off after 4 hours).

WARNING! Never operate without carafe in place. Do not touch hot surfaces.

Cleaning & Maintenance
