Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on clean, dry, level surface.

  1. Remove all packaging materials and stickers.
  2. Wash carafes, filter basket, and charcoal filter holder with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly.
  3. Insert charcoal water filter into holder and soak in cold water for 15 minutes.
  4. Place filter holder into water reservoir.
  5. Plug into 120V AC outlet.

WARNING! Do not immerse base, cord, or plug in water. Ensure hands are dry when handling plug.

First-Time Setup

Before first use, run a brewing cycle with water only to clean the system.

  1. Fill water reservoir to 12-cup line with fresh cold water.
  2. Place empty carafe on warming plate.
  3. Press POWER to turn unit on.
  4. Press BREW to start cycle.
  5. Discard water after cycle completes.
  6. Repeat if desired.

CAUTION! Do not use without water in reservoir. Ensure carafe is properly positioned.

Setting Clock: Press and hold CLOCK/TIMER, use HOUR and MIN buttons.

Using the Hot Water System

The hot water system provides on-demand hot water for various beverages.

  1. Ensure hot water reservoir is filled (check indicator).
  2. Press HOT WATER button; indicator light will illuminate when ready.
  3. Place cup under dispenser spout.
  4. Press and hold hot water lever to dispense.
  5. Release lever to stop.

Tip: For best results, use fresh cold water in hot water reservoir. System maintains temperature for immediate use.

Brewing Coffee

For optimal coffee flavor, use fresh cold water and quality coffee grounds.

  1. Fill water reservoir to desired cup level.
  2. Insert charcoal filter (if using).
  3. Place paper filter or permanent filter in basket.
  4. Add coffee grounds (1 tablespoon per cup).
  5. Place empty carafe on warming plate.
  6. Press POWER to turn on.
  7. Select brew strength if desired.
  8. Press BREW to start cycle.
  9. Use BREW PAUSE feature to pour a cup during brewing.
  10. Carafe will remain on warming plate (auto shut-off after 4 hours).

WARNING! Never operate without carafe in place. Do not touch hot surfaces.

Cleaning & Maintenance

Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and longevity.

Daily: Wash carafes and filter basket with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly.

Monthly: Descale unit with vinegar solution: Mix equal parts white vinegar and water, run through brewing cycle, then run 2-3 cycles with fresh water.

Charcoal Filter: Replace every 60 brew cycles or every 2 months.

Exterior: Wipe with damp cloth; do not use abrasive cleaners.

CAUTION! Unplug before cleaning. Never immerse unit in water.
