Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on stable, dry surface.

  1. Remove all packaging materials from inside and outside the coffee maker.
  2. Wash carafe, filter basket, and charcoal water filter with warm, soapy water.
  3. Insert charcoal water filter into the filter holder in the water reservoir.
  4. Plug into a 120V AC outlet.

WARNING! Do not immerse coffee maker, cord, or plug in water. Ensure hands are dry when handling.

First-Time Setup

Before first use, run a brewing cycle with water only.

  1. Fill water reservoir with clean water to the 12-cup mark.
  2. Place empty carafe on warming plate.
  3. Press the ON/OFF button to start brewing cycle.
  4. After cycle completes, discard water and repeat once more.
  5. Set time: Press and hold CLOCK button, use HOUR and MIN buttons to set.

CAUTION! Do not use without water. Ensure carafe is properly placed.

Cleaning & Maintenance

Daily: Wash carafe and filter basket. Monthly: Descale with vinegar solution.

  1. Fill reservoir with equal parts vinegar and water.
  2. Place empty carafe on warming plate.
  3. Press ON/OFF to start brewing cycle.
  4. After half cycle, turn off and let sit 15 minutes.
  5. Complete cycle, then run two cycles with clean water.
  6. Reset CLEAN indicator: Press and hold CLEAN button for 3 seconds.

CAUTION! Unplug before cleaning exterior. Do not use abrasive cleaners.

Programming Guide

Set auto brew to start at a specific time.

  1. Ensure clock is set correctly.
  2. Press PROGRAM button.
  3. Use HOUR and MIN to set desired brew time.

  6. Machine will start brewing at set time.
