Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on clean, dry, level surface.

  1. Remove all packaging materials from carafe, filter basket, and water reservoir.
  2. Wash carafe, lid, and filter basket with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly.
  3. Insert charcoal water filter into filter holder in water reservoir (soak filter first for 15 minutes).
  4. Plug power cord into 120V AC outlet.

WARNING! Do not immerse coffee maker, cord, or plug in water or other liquids. Ensure hands are dry when handling.

First-Time Setup

Before first use, run a cleaning cycle with water only.

  1. Fill water reservoir to MAX line with fresh cold water.
  2. Place empty carafe on warming plate.
  3. Press the CLEAN button; cleaning cycle will run for approximately 30 minutes.
  4. After cycle completes, discard water from carafe. Coffee maker is now ready for brewing.
