Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on clean, dry, level surface.

  1. Remove all packaging materials from inside and outside the unit.
  2. Wash carafe, lid, and filter basket in warm, soapy water. Rinse and dry.
  3. Install charcoal water filter: Soak filter in water for 15 minutes, then insert into filter holder.
  4. Place empty carafe on warming plate.
  5. Plug into 120V AC outlet.

WARNING! Do not immerse coffee maker, cord, or plug in water. Keep away from heat sources and edges of countertops.

First-Time Setup

Plug in coffee maker; follow initial setup steps.

  1. Set time: Press and hold CLOCK button, use HOUR and MIN buttons to set current time.

Brewing Coffee

Tip: For best results, use fresh cold water and replace charcoal filter every 60 brew cycles or 2 months.

Cleaning & Maintenance

Daily: Empty carafe and rinse. Weekly: Wash carafe, lid, and filter basket. Monthly: Descale with vinegar solution.

  1. Descale when CLEAN light illuminates: Fill reservoir with equal parts water and white vinegar.
  2. Run brew cycle without coffee or filter.
  3. Let solution sit in carafe for 15 minutes, then discard.
  4. Rinse by running two cycles with clean water.
  5. Replace charcoal water filter every 60 cycles or 2 months.

WARNING! Never use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads. Unplug before cleaning.
