Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on a clean, dry, level surface away from edges.

  1. Remove all packaging materials and stickers from the coffee maker and carafe.
  2. Wash the carafe, lid, and filter basket with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly.
  3. Insert the charcoal water filter into the filter holder in the water reservoir.
  4. Plug the power cord into a standard 120V AC electrical outlet.

WARNING! Do not immerse the coffee maker base, cord, or plug in water or other liquids. Ensure the carafe is properly seated before brewing.

First-Time Setup

Before first use, run a cleaning cycle with water only (no coffee).

  1. Fill the water reservoir to the MAX line with fresh, cold water.
  2. Place an empty paper filter or the permanent filter in the filter basket.
  3. Place the empty carafe on the warming plate.
  4. Press the CLEAN button and hold for 3 seconds to start the cleaning cycle.
  5. After the cycle completes, discard the water and rinse the carafe.
  6. Set the clock time using the HOUR and MIN buttons.

CAUTION! The exterior surfaces may become hot during use. Use handles when touching the carafe or coffee maker.

Brewing Coffee

For manual brewing or programmed auto-brew.

  1. Fill the water reservoir with cold, fresh water to desired cup level.
  2. Place a paper filter or permanent filter in the filter basket.
  3. Add medium-grind coffee (1 tablespoon per cup).
  4. Place the empty carafe on the warming plate.
  5. Press POWER to turn on. The READY light will illuminate.
  6. Press BREW NOW to start manual brewing immediately.
  7. For auto-brew, set the PROGRAM time first, then ensure the carafe is in place before the scheduled time.
  8. Use the BREW PAUSE function to pour a cup before brewing finishes.

Tip: For best results, use fresh, cold water and replace the charcoal filter every 2 months or after 60 uses.

Cleaning & Maintenance

Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and coffee flavor.

  1. Daily: Wash carafe, lid, and filter basket with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly.
  2. Monthly: Run the self-cleaning cycle (press and hold CLEAN for 3 seconds) with a solution of 1/3 white vinegar and 2/3 water. Follow with two cycles of clean water to rinse.
  3. Charcoal Filter: Replace every 2 months or after 60 brew cycles.
  4. Exterior: Wipe with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners.

WARNING! Always unplug the coffee maker and allow it to cool completely before cleaning. Never immerse the base in water.

Programming Guide

Setting the Auto-Brew Function:

  1. Press and hold PROGRAM. The PROGRAM light will blink.
  2. Use HOUR and MIN buttons to set the desired brew time.
  3. Press PROGRAM again to confirm. The AUTO ON light will illuminate.
  4. Ensure the coffee maker is loaded with water and coffee, and the carafe is in place.
  5. The coffee maker will automatically brew at the set time.
  6. To cancel auto-brew, press and hold PROGRAM until the AUTO ON light turns off.

Note: The clock must be set correctly for auto-brew to function.
