Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on clean, dry, level surface.

  1. Remove all packaging materials from carafe, filter basket, and water reservoir.
  2. Wash carafe, lid, and filter basket with warm, soapy water. Rinse and dry.
  3. Insert charcoal water filter into holder in water reservoir (soak filter 15 minutes first).
  4. Place empty carafe on warming plate, ensuring it is centered.
  5. Plug power cord into 120V AC outlet.

WARNING! Do not immerse base, cord, or plug in water. Handle carafe with care to avoid burns.

First-Time Setup

Power on coffeemaker; follow initial setup steps.

  1. Prime the water filter: Fill reservoir with cold water, run a brew cycle without coffee.
  2. Set clock: Press and hold CLOCK, use HOUR/MINUTE buttons to set time.
  3. Set auto shut-off: Press AUTO OFF, select 0, 2, or 4 hours.
  4. Program brew time: Press PROGRAM, set desired brew start time.
  5. Select brew strength: Press BREW STRENGTH for Regular or Bold.

Brewing Coffee

For best results, use fresh cold water and medium grind coffee.

  1. Fill water reservoir to desired cup level (1-12).
  2. Place filter in basket (paper or permanent).
  3. Add coffee: 1 tablespoon per cup (adjust to taste).
  4. Place carafe on warming plate, ensure lid is closed.
  5. Press BREW to start immediately, or set PROGRAM for delayed brew.
  6. Pause & Serve: Press PAUSE during brew to pour a cup, then release to continue.
  7. When brew completes, audible beep sounds. Coffee stays hot in thermal carafe.

Tip: For stronger coffee, use BOLD setting or extra tablespoon of grounds.

Cleaning & Maintenance

Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and longevity.

  1. Daily: Wash carafe, lid, and filter basket with warm soapy water.
  2. Monthly: Run self-clean cycle (press CLEAN when indicator lights).
  3. Descaling: Use vinegar solution every 3-6 months to remove mineral deposits.
  4. Exterior: Wipe with damp cloth; do not use abrasive cleaners.

CAUTION! Unplug before cleaning. Never immerse base in water. Allow all parts to cool before handling.

Water Filtration

Charcoal water filter improves taste and reduces impurities.

  1. Soak new filter in cold water for 15 minutes.
  2. Insert into filter holder in water reservoir.
  3. Replace filter every 60 brew cycles or every 2 months.
  4. Prime filter before first use by running a water-only brew cycle.

Note: Filter is optional; coffeemaker works without it.
