Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on a clean, dry, level surface away from edges.

  1. Remove all packaging materials from inside and outside the unit.
  2. Wash the carafe, lid, brew basket, and charcoal water filter holder with warm, soapy water. Rinse and dry thoroughly.
  3. Insert the charcoal water filter into the filter holder and place it in the water reservoir.
  4. Fill the water reservoir completely with cold water and run a brewing cycle without coffee to clean the internal system. Discard this water.

WARNING! Do not immerse the base, cord, or plug in water or any other liquid. Ensure the unit is unplugged during cleaning.

First-Time Setup

Plug the coffeemaker into a standard 120V AC outlet. The digital display will light up.

  1. Set the Clock: Press and hold the HOUR and MIN buttons to set the current time.
  2. Prime the Filter: Soak the charcoal water filter in cold water for 15 minutes, then rinse under cold water.
  3. Program Auto Brew: Press the PROGRAM button, then use HOUR/MIN to set the desired brew time. Press PROGRAM again to confirm.
  4. Select Brew Strength: Press the STRENGTH button to toggle between REGULAR and BOLD.

  2. Weekly: Wash removable parts (carafe, lid, filter basket) with warm, soapy water.
  3. Monthly: Replace the charcoal water filter. Run a cleaning cycle with a descaling solution (vinegar or commercial descaler).
  4. Self-Clean Cycle: When the CLEAN light flashes, press and hold the CLEAN button for 3 seconds to start the cycle. Run with a full reservoir of clean water afterward.

Tip: Never use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads on any part of the coffeemaker.

Programming & Operation

Supports manual brewing, programmed brewing, and brew strength adjustment.

  1. Manual Brew: Add water to reservoir, add coffee to filter, place carafe, press POWER, then press BREW.
  2. Program Brew: Set clock. Press PROGRAM, set brew time with HOUR/MIN, press PROGRAM to confirm. Add water and coffee the night before.
  3. Brew Pause: Press PAUSE during brewing to pour a cup early. Press again to resume.
  4. 1-4 Cup Setting: For 1-4 cups, press the 1-4 CUP button before brewing for optimal extraction.
  5. Auto Shut-Off: Press AUTO OFF to cycle through delay options (0, 1, 2, 4 hours).
