Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on a clean, dry, level surface near an electrical outlet.

  1. Remove all packaging materials and stickers.
  2. Wash carafe, brew basket, and charcoal filter holder with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly.
  3. Insert charcoal water filter into the filter holder and soak in cold water for 15 minutes.
  4. Place filter holder into the water reservoir.
  5. Fill water reservoir with cold water to the 12-cup mark and run a brewing cycle without coffee to clean the system. Discard water.

WARNING! Do not immerse the base, cord, or plug in water or other liquids. Ensure hands are dry when handling the plug.

First-Time Setup

Plug the unit into a 120V AC outlet. The LCD will illuminate.

  1. Set the Clock: Press and hold the CLOCK button. Use HOUR and MIN buttons to set the correct time. Press CLOCK again to confirm.
  2. Set Auto Shut-Off: Press the AUTO OFF button to select duration (0, 2, or 4 hours).
  3. Set Warming Plate Temperature: Press the WARM button to cycle through Low, Medium, and High settings.
  4. Prime the Hot Water System: Fill reservoir, place an empty carafe under the hot water spout, and press the HOT WATER button. Dispense 8 oz. of water and discard.

CAUTION! Place the unit on a stable, heat-resistant surface away from edges. Keep away from children.

Access all functions via the front control panel. Buttons: POWER, CLOCK, HOUR, MIN, AUTO OFF, WARM, PROGRAM, HOT WATER, BREW.

LCD Display Icons: Clock, Program Set, Auto Off, Warming Plate, Brewing, Hot Water Ready.

Clock: Set current time. Program: Set future brew time. Auto Off: Select 0, 2, or 4-hour auto shut-off after brewing. Warm: Adjust carafe plate temperature. Brew: Start immediate brewing cycle. Hot Water: Activate hot water dispenser.

Using the Hot Water System

The hot water spout provides near-boiling water independently of the coffee brewing cycle.

  1. Ensure the water reservoir is filled.
  2. Place a cup or carafe under the hot water spout (right side).
  3. Press the HOT WATER button. The indicator light will illuminate.
  4. Hot water will begin dispensing. Press the button again to stop.

Tip: Allow the unit to heat for approximately 3 minutes after powering on before first use of the hot water system.

Programming & Brewing

Supports ground coffee only. Do not use pod adapters unless specified.

  1. Fill the water reservoir with cold water to desired cup level.
  2. Place a charcoal filter in the holder (if using).
  3. Add ground coffee to the filter basket (1 tablespoon per cup).
  4. Place the empty carafe on the warming plate.
  5. For Immediate Brew: Press BREW. The BREW light will illuminate.
  6. For Programmed Brew: Press PROGRAM. Use HOUR and MIN to set the start time. Press PROGRAM again to confirm. The PROGRAM icon will display.
  7. Brew Pause: During brewing, you can press BREW PAUSE to temporarily stop flow and pour a cup. Press again to resume.

WARNING! The carafe, warming plate, and dispensed water are hot. Use handles and avoid contact.

Cleaning & Maintenance

Unplug and cool completely before cleaning. Descale monthly if using hard water.

  1. Daily: Wash carafe, lid, and brew basket in warm, soapy water. Rinse.
  2. Exterior: Wipe with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners.
  3. Charcoal Filter: Replace every 60 days or after 60 uses.
  4. Descaling: Mix 1 cup white vinegar with 1 cup water. Pour into reservoir. Run a half-brew cycle. Let sit 30 minutes. Complete brewing. Run 2-3 cycles with fresh water to rinse.

CAUTION! Never immerse the base unit, cord, or plug in water. Do not use harsh chemicals.
