Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on clean, dry, level surface.

Remove all packaging materials from carafe, filter basket, and unit.
Wash carafe, lid, and filter basket with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly.
Insert charcoal water filter into filter holder in water reservoir.
Place empty carafe on warming plate, ensuring it is properly seated.
Plug power cord into 120V AC outlet.

WARNING! Do not immerse unit, cord, or plug in water or other liquids. Ensure hands are dry before handling.

First-Time Setup

Before first use, perform a cleaning cycle without coffee.

Fill water reservoir to MAX line with fresh cold water.
Place empty filter basket and carafe in position.
Press the ON/OFF button to start brewing cycle.
Discard water after cycle completes. Repeat if desired.
Set time: Press and hold CLOCK button, use HOUR and MIN to set current time.

CAUTION! Do not use without water. Ensure carafe is properly positioned to prevent leaks.

Programming & Operation

For manual brewing or programmed automatic brewing.

Manual Brew: Add water to reservoir, insert filter and coffee, place carafe, press ON/OFF.
Program Auto-Brew: Set current time using CLOCK, HOUR, MIN. Press PROGRAM, set desired brew time using HOUR/MIN. Press PROGRAM again to confirm. AUTO ON light will illuminate.
Brew Pause: During brewing, lift carafe to pause. Replace within 30 seconds to resume.
Strength Selection: Press STRENGTH before brewing to choose REGULAR or BOLD.
Auto Shut-Off: Enabled by default; press AUTO OFF to disable if desired.
