Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on clean, dry, level surface.

Remove all packaging materials from carafe, filter basket, and unit.

Install charcoal water filter: Soak filter in water for 5 minutes, then insert into filter holder.
Plug into 120V AC outlet.

WARNING! Do not immerse unit in water. Keep cord away from heated surfaces.

First-Time Setup

Power on unit; follow initial setup steps.

Set clock: Press and hold CLOCK button, use HOUR/MINUTE buttons to set time.
Prime water filter: Run a full cycle of water only (without coffee) to activate filter.
Adjust grind settings: Turn grind selector to desired coarseness (1-10).
Program auto brew: Press PROGRAM, set brew time using HOUR/MINUTE buttons.

Controls and Settings

Brewing Coffee

Select brew strength: Press BREW STRENGTH for regular or bold.
Press POWER to start brewing.
Pause & Serve: Press PAUSE during brewing to pour a cup.
Auto brew: Set PROGRAM time; unit will start automatically.

Tip: Use filtered water for better tasting coffee.

Using the Grinder

Built-in grinder for whole beans.

Add whole beans to bean hopper (max 8 oz).
Select grind size: Turn GRIND SIZE dial (1= finest, 10= coarsest).
Grind amount adjusts automatically based on water amount.
For pre-ground coffee: Set GRIND SIZE to 0 (bypass).

WARNING! Never operate grinder without beans. Keep fingers away from grinding mechanism.

Cleaning & Maintenance

Daily: Empty grounds basket, rinse carafe and filter basket. Weekly: Clean with vinegar solution.

Mix equal parts white vinegar and water; fill reservoir.
Place empty carafe; press CLEAN button.
After half cycle, turn off and let sit 15 minutes.
Complete cycle, then run two cycles with clean water.
Replace water filter every 60 cycles or 2 months.

CAUTION! Unplug before cleaning exterior. Never use abrasive cleaners.

Troubleshooting
