Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on a clean, dry, level, and heat-resistant surface.

  1. Remove all packaging materials and stickers from the toaster.
  2. Ensure the crumb tray is securely in place.
  3. Plug the power cord into a standard 120V AC household outlet.
  4. Position the toaster at least 2 inches away from walls, cabinets, or other appliances to allow for proper heat ventilation.

WARNING! Do not place the toaster under cabinets or near flammable materials like curtains or paper towels. The toaster becomes hot during use.

First-Time Setup

Before first use, operate the toaster without bread to burn off any manufacturing residues.

  1. Set the shade selector dial to the darkest setting (7).
  2. Press the lever down without any bread inside. The toaster will cycle.
  3. Allow the toaster to cool completely. A slight odor or smoke is normal for the first use.
  4. Your toaster is now ready for regular use.

CAUTION! Never insert anything into the slots except food items. Do not use the toaster near water or with wet hands.

Controls and Settings

All controls are located on the front of the toaster.

Lever: Press down to lower bread and start the toasting cycle. The high-lift feature raises items at the end of the cycle.

Shade Selector Dial: Turn to select desired browning level (1=Light, 7=Dark).

Bagel Button: Press to activate the Bagel function. The indicator light will illuminate.

Defrost Button: Press to toast frozen bread, waffles, etc. The indicator light will illuminate.

Reheat Button: Press to warm items without additional browning. The indicator light will illuminate.

Cancel Button: Press at any time to stop the toasting cycle and raise the lever.

Using the Toaster

For basic toasting of bread, English muffins, etc.

  1. Plug the toaster into an outlet.
  2. Set the Shade Selector Dial to your preferred setting (3-4 is medium).
  3. Place food into the slots. Ensure items are not so thick they touch the heating elements.
  4. Press the lever down until it locks. The toasting cycle will begin.
  5. When the cycle is complete, the lever will raise automatically. You can also press the Cancel button to stop early.
  6. Use the high-lift lever to safely remove smaller items.

Tip: For even toasting, center the bread in the slot. Uneven toasting can occur if bread is off-center.

Special Functions

Using the Bagel, Defrost, and Reheat features.

  1. Bagel Function: Place a sliced bagel with the cut side facing the center of the toaster. Press the Bagel button (light turns on), then press the lever. The toaster will apply more heat to the cut side.
  2. Defrost Function: For frozen waffles, bread, or pastries. Insert the frozen item. Press the Defrost button (light turns on), select your shade, then press the lever. The cycle time is automatically extended.
  3. Reheat Function: To warm a previously toasted item without making it darker. Insert the item. Press the Reheat button (light turns on), then press the lever. A short, low-heat cycle will run.

Note: The Bagel, Defrost, and Reheat functions can be canceled at any time by pressing the Cancel button.

Care & Cleaning

Unplug and allow the toaster to cool completely before cleaning.

  1. Exterior: Wipe with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.
  2. Crumb Tray: Slide the crumb tray out from the bottom of the toaster. Empty and wipe clean. Ensure it is completely dry before reinserting.
  3. Interior: Turn the toaster upside over a trash can and gently shake to dislodge loose crumbs. Never insert utensils to clean the slots.

CAUTION! Do not immerse the toaster, cord, or plug in water or any other liquid. Never operate the toaster without the crumb tray in place.
