Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on stable, level surface.

  1. Remove all packaging materials from inside and outside the coffeemaker.
  2. Wash carafe, lid, and permanent filter with warm, soapy water; rinse thoroughly.
  3. Insert charcoal water filter into filter holder in water reservoir.
  4. Place permanent gold-tone filter into filter basket.
  5. Plug into a 120V AC, 60Hz outlet.

WARNING! Do not immerse coffeemaker, cord, or plug in water or other liquids. Ensure hands are dry when handling.

First-Time Setup

Plug in coffeemaker; follow control panel prompts.

  1. Set the clock: Press and hold CLOCK, then use HOUR and MIN to set current time.
  2. Prime the filter: Run a cycle with water only (no coffee) to activate charcoal filter.
  3. Adjust warming plate: Use WARM setting to select low or high temperature.
  4. Program brew time: Press PROG, then set desired start time using HOUR and MIN.

Programming & Operation

Supports manual brew and programmed start.

  1. Manual brew: Add water and coffee, press POWER, then BREW.
  2. Programmed brew: Set brew time using PROG, HOUR, MIN; coffeemaker starts automatically.
  3. Brew pause: Press BREW PAUSE during brewing to pour a cup; press again to resume.
  4. 1-4 cup setting: Press 1-4 CUP when brewing 1 to 4 cups for optimal flavor.
