Installation & Setup

Unpack and inspect all contents. Place on a clean, dry, level, and heat-resistant surface.

  1. Insert the Charcoal Water Filter: Soak filter in water for 15 minutes, then place it in the filter holder in the water reservoir.
  2. Wash Components: Wash the carafe, lid, and filter basket with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly.
  3. Position the Coffeemaker: Ensure it is away from edges, cabinets, and other heat sources. Leave space for the carafe to be removed.
  4. Plug into a standard 120V AC outlet.

WARNING! Do not immerse the power base, cord, or plug in water or other liquids. Handle the glass carafe with care.

First-Time Use

Before brewing your first pot of coffee, perform a cleaning cycle to remove any manufacturing residues.

  1. Fill the water reservoir to the 10-cup mark with fresh, cold water.
  2. Place a clean filter in the filter basket. Do not add coffee grounds.
  3. Place the empty carafe on the warming plate.
  4. Press the POWER button to ON. The LCD will illuminate.
  5. Press and hold the CLEAN button for 3 seconds to start the cleaning cycle. The unit will run water through the system.
  6. When the cycle is complete, discard the water from the carafe. The coffeemaker is now ready for use.

CAUTION! The warming plate and carafe will be hot after the cleaning cycle. Allow to cool before handling.

Controls and Operation

Access all functions via the front control panel. LCD Display shows time, programming status, and alerts.

Control Panel Buttons: POWER, PROGRAM, HOUR, MIN, AUTO ON, AUTO OFF, 1-4 CUP, CLEAN.

Basic Operation: Press POWER to turn unit on. The LCD will show the current time. Add water and coffee grounds. Press the 1-4 CUP button if making a small batch. Press AUTO ON to start immediate brewing. The BREW light will illuminate during the cycle. Use BREW PAUSE to pour a cup mid-cycle.

Programming the Clock & Timer

To set the clock and program automatic brewing.

  1. With the unit ON, press and hold the HOUR button until the correct hour is displayed (AM/PM indicated).
  2. Press and hold the MIN button until the correct minute is displayed.
  3. To set Auto Brew: Press PROGRAM. The "AUTO ON" icon will blink. Use HOUR and MIN to set the desired brew time.
  4. Press PROGRAM again to confirm. The "AUTO ON" icon will stay lit.
  5. To set Auto Shut-Off: Press AUTO OFF. Use HOUR to cycle through shut-off delay options (0, 1, 2, 3, 4 hours).

Tip: Ensure the water reservoir is filled and coffee grounds are loaded the night before for morning auto-brew.

Brewing Coffee

For optimal coffee flavor using fresh, cold water and your preferred grind.

  1. Fill the water reservoir to the desired cup level.
  2. Place a #4 paper filter or permanent filter in the basket.
  3. Add coffee grounds (1 tablespoon per cup, adjust to taste).
  4. Place the empty carafe on the warming plate.
  5. Press POWER to ON.
  6. For 1-4 cups, press the 1-4 CUP button (its light will illuminate).
  7. Press AUTO ON to begin brewing immediately. The BREW light will be on.
  8. When brewing is complete, the carafe will keep coffee warm. The AUTO OFF timer will begin.

WARNING! Never brew without the carafe in place. Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.

Care & Cleaning

Regular cleaning ensures best performance and longevity. Unplug and allow to cool completely before cleaning.

Daily: Discard used grounds and filter. Wash carafe, lid, and filter basket in warm, soapy water. Wipe exterior with a damp cloth.
Monthly/As Needed: When the CLEAN light illuminates, run a cleaning cycle with a mixture of vinegar and water (1 part vinegar to 2 parts water) to decalcify. Rinse thoroughly with two cycles of clean water afterward.
Charcoal Filter: Replace every 60 days or after 60 uses for optimal water filtration.

CAUTION! Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads. Never immerse the power base in water.
