Installation & Setup

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on clean, dry, stable surface away from edges.

  1. Insert Charcoal Water Filter: Soak filter in water for 15 minutes, then place in filter holder in water reservoir.
  2. Prepare Carafe: Remove lid and rinse carafe with warm water. Do not immerse lid in water.
  3. Prime Filter Basket: Place gold-tone filter in filter basket and run a cycle of clear water (see First-Time Use).
  4. Plug into 120V AC outlet.

WARNING! Ensure coffeemaker is unplugged during setup. Keep away from water sources to prevent electric shock.

First-Time Use

Before brewing coffee, clean interior by running a cycle of clear water.

  1. Fill water reservoir to 12-cup mark with fresh cold water.
  2. Place empty carafe on warming plate (or thermal base).
  3. Press ON/OFF to start brewing cycle without coffee.
  4. Discard water after cycle completes. Repeat if desired.
  5. Your coffeemaker is now ready for use.

CAUTION! Do not use carafe on stovetop or in microwave. Handle hot surfaces with care.

LCD Display: Shows clock time, program time, auto shut-off settings, and clean indicator.

Programming: Set clock by pressing and holding HOUR/MIN. Set brew time with PROGRAM, HOUR, MIN. Auto Shut-Off: Press AUTO OFF to set 0-4 hours. Self-Cleaning: Press CLEAN when indicator lights. Brew Pause: Press BREW PAUSE during cycle to pour cup.

Programming & Brewing

To program brew time and start automatic brewing:

  1. Set Clock: Press and hold HOUR, then MIN to set current time.
  2. Set Brew Time: Press PROGRAM, then HOUR/MIN to set desired brew time.
  3. Add Coffee: Place filter and coffee grounds (1 scoop per cup).
  4. Add Water: Fill reservoir to desired cup level.
  5. Start: Press ON/OFF to brew immediately, or wait for programmed time.
  6. Brew Pause: Press BREW PAUSE during cycle to pour cup, then press again to resume.

Tip: For best flavor, use fresh cold water and medium grind coffee. Replace charcoal filter every 60 cycles or 2 months.

Cleaning & Maintenance

Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and longevity.

  1. Daily: Rinse carafe and filter basket after use. Wipe exterior with damp cloth.
  2. Weekly: Run self-clean cycle (press CLEAN when indicator lights) with vinegar solution (see manual).
  3. Monthly: Descale with vinegar solution if in hard water area.
  4. As Needed: Replace charcoal water filter every 60 cycles.

WARNING! Unplug before cleaning. Never immerse base, cord, or plug in water.

Water Filter Replacement

Replace charcoal water filter every 60 cycles or 2 months for best taste.

  1. Remove old filter from holder in water reservoir.
  2. Soak new filter in cold water for 15 minutes.
  3. Insert filter into holder, ensuring it snaps into place.
  4. Reset filter indicator (if equipped) by pressing and holding PROGRAM for 3 seconds.

Care Instructions

Unplug before cleaning. Use mild detergent and damp cloth for exterior. Do not use abrasive cleaners.

CAUTION! Do not clean carafe or any parts in dishwasher unless specified. Avoid harsh chemicals.
