Installation & Setup

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on clean, dry, level surface away from edges.

  3. Wash carafe and lid with warm, soapy water; rinse thoroughly.

First-Time Use

Before first brew, run a cleaning cycle with water only.

  1. Fill water reservoir to 12-cup mark with clean water.

  4. To cancel program, press AUTO ON again.
  5. Set Auto Shut-Off: Press AUTO OFF repeatedly to cycle through 0, 0.5, 1, 2, 4 hours.

Tip: Ensure power is connected and clock is set for programming to work.

Brewing Coffee

For optimal coffee flavor:

  1. Fill water reservoir to desired cup level.
  2. Add medium-grind coffee to filter (1 tablespoon per cup).
  3. Place carafe on warming plate.
  4. Select Brew Strength (Regular/Bold) and 1-4 Cup setting if applicable.
  5. Press ON/OFF to start brewing.
  6. Use Pause & Serve feature during brewing if needed.
  7. After brewing, coffee is kept warm at selected temperature.

WARNING! Do not remove carafe during brewing except with Pause & Serve. Hot steam may cause burns.

Cleaning & Maintenance

Regular cleaning ensures performance and longevity.

  1. Daily: Wash carafe, lid, and filter basket in warm, soapy water.
  2. Monthly: Descale with vinegar solution (1 part vinegar to 2 parts water). Run brewing cycle, then rinse with clean water twice.
  3. Charcoal Filter: Replace every 60 brew cycles or every 2 months.
  4. Exterior: Wipe with damp cloth; do not use abrasive cleaners.

CAUTION! Unplug before cleaning. Never immerse base in water.
