Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on clean, dry, level surface.

  1. Remove all packaging materials from inside and outside the coffeemaker.
  2. Wash carafe and filter basket with warm, soapy water; rinse thoroughly.
  3. Insert charcoal water filter into filter holder (soak filter first for 15 minutes).
  4. Plug power cord into 120V AC outlet.

WARNING! Do not immerse coffeemaker, cord, or plug in water. Keep away from heat sources.

First-Time Setup

Power on coffeemaker; follow initial setup steps.

  1. Set the clock: Press and hold HOUR and MINUTE buttons to set current time.
  2. Prime the filter: Run a cycle with water only (no coffee) to activate charcoal filter.

  6. Manual brew: Press BREW at any time for immediate brewing.

Tip: For 1-4 cups, press 1-4 CUP button before brewing for stronger flavor.

Cleaning & Maintenance

Unplug before cleaning. Clean carafe and filter basket after each use.

  1. Daily: Wash carafe and filter basket with warm, soapy water.
  2. Monthly: Descale with vinegar solution (run self-clean cycle).
  3. Filter: Replace charcoal water filter every 60 cycles or 2 months.
  4. Exterior: Wipe with damp cloth; do not use abrasive cleaners.

CAUTION! Never immerse coffeemaker base in water. Use only vinegar for descaling.
