Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on clean, dry, level surface.

  1. Remove all packaging materials from coffeemaker and carafe.
  2. Wash carafe, lid, and permanent filter with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly.
  3. Insert charcoal water filter into filter holder (soak filter 15 minutes first).
  4. Place empty carafe on warming plate.
  5. Plug power cord into 120V AC outlet.

WARNING! Do not immerse coffeemaker base, cord, or plug in water. Keep away from heat sources.

First-Time Setup

Before first use, run a cleaning cycle.

  1. Fill water reservoir with clean water to MAX line (12 cups).
  2. Place empty carafe on warming plate.
  3. Press and hold CLEAN button for 3 seconds to start cleaning cycle.
  4. After cycle completes, discard water from carafe.
  5. Repeat cleaning cycle once more with fresh water.
  6. Your coffeemaker is now ready for brewing.

CAUTION! Ensure carafe is properly seated on warming plate before brewing.

Controls and Settings

Front Panel: ON/OFF button, PROGRAM button, HOUR and MIN buttons, CLEAN button, AUTO OFF button.

Display: Shows time, program status, auto-off setting, and clean indicator.

Programming: Set clock using HOUR/MIN buttons. Program brew start time using PROGRAM button. Auto Off: Set 0-4 hours using AUTO OFF button. Clean: Press CLEAN to start cleaning cycle. Brew Pause: Press BREW PAUSE during brewing to pour a cup.

Brewing Coffee

For best results, use fresh cold water and medium grind coffee.

  1. Fill water reservoir with desired amount of water.
  2. Insert permanent filter into filter basket.
  3. Add coffee grounds (1 tablespoon per cup).
  4. Place empty carafe on warming plate.
  5. Press ON/OFF to start brewing immediately.
  6. For programmed brewing: Set brew time using PROGRAM button.
  7. Use BREW PAUSE feature to pour a cup during brewing.
  8. Auto shut-off will turn off warming plate after set time.

Tip: Replace charcoal water filter every 60 brew cycles or 2 months.

Cleaning & Maintenance

Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and coffee flavor.

  1. Daily: Wash carafe, lid, and permanent filter with warm, soapy water.
  2. Weekly: Run cleaning cycle (press CLEAN button).
  3. Monthly: Descale with vinegar solution (1 part vinegar to 2 parts water).
  4. Filter Replacement: Replace charcoal water filter every 60 cycles.
  5. Exterior: Wipe with damp cloth; never immerse in water.

WARNING! Unplug before cleaning. Never use abrasive cleaners.

Programming Guide

Setting the clock and programming brew times.

  1. Set Clock: Press and hold HOUR button to set hour, MIN button to set minutes.
  2. Program Brew Time: Press PROGRAM, then use HOUR/MIN to set desired brew time.
  3. Confirm: Press PROGRAM again to confirm setting.
  4. Auto Off: Press AUTO OFF repeatedly to cycle through 0, 2, or 4-hour settings.
  5. To Cancel Program: Press and hold PROGRAM for 3 seconds.

Note: "PROG" icon appears on display when programmed brew is set.

Care Instructions

CAUTION! Do not use cracked carafe. Replace immediately if damaged.
