Installation & Setup

Unpack and inspect all contents. Place on a clean, dry, level, and heat-resistant surface.

  1. Insert the charcoal water filter: Soak filter in water for 15 minutes, then place into the filter holder in the water reservoir.
  2. Place the empty carafe on the warming plate.
  3. Plug the power cord into a standard 120V AC electrical outlet.

WARNING! Ensure the coffeemaker is on a stable surface away from edges. Do not immerse the base, cord, or plug in water.

First Use Instructions

Before first brew, clean the coffeemaker by running a cycle with water only.

  1. Fill the water reservoir to the 12-cup mark with fresh, cold water.
  2. Place an empty paper filter in the brew basket. Do not add coffee grounds.
  3. Place the empty carafe on the warming plate.
  4. Press the POWER button to start the cleaning cycle.
  5. Discard the water from the carafe after the cycle is complete. The coffeemaker is now ready for use.

CAUTION! The warming plate and carafe will become hot during operation. Handle with care.

Programming the Clock & Timer

To set the clock for automatic brewing:

  1. With the coffeemaker plugged in, press and hold the HOUR button until the correct hour is displayed (AM/PM will show).
  2. Press and hold the MINUTE button until the correct minute is displayed.
  3. To set the automatic brew time, press the PROGRAM button. The "Program" light will illuminate.
  4. While the "Program" light is on, press the HOUR and MINUTE buttons to set the desired brew time.
  5. Press PROGRAM again to confirm. The "Program" light will remain on, indicating a brew time is set.

Tip: Ensure the coffeemaker is turned OFF (no lights on) after setting the program for it to brew automatically.

Brewing Coffee

For immediate or programmed brewing.

  1. Fill the water reservoir with cold water to the desired cup level.
  2. Place a paper filter in the brew basket. Add ground coffee (1 tablespoon per cup, adjust to taste).
  3. Place the empty carafe on the warming plate and close the lid.
  4. For Immediate Brew: Press the POWER button. Brewing begins immediately.
  5. For Programmed Brew: Ensure the clock and program time are set correctly. The coffeemaker will turn on automatically at the set time.
  6. Brew Pause: You may remove the carafe during brewing to pour a cup. Replace within 30 seconds to continue brewing.
  7. When brewing is complete, the coffeemaker will beep and begin the auto shut-off countdown.

WARNING! Never place the carafe on the warming plate without the lid securely in place. Scalding may occur.

Care & Cleaning

Unplug and allow to cool completely before cleaning.

Daily: Wash the carafe, lid, and brew basket in warm, soapy water. Rinse and dry thoroughly. Wipe the exterior with a damp cloth.

Descaling: Mineral buildup can affect performance. Descale every 3-6 months using a commercial descaling solution or a mixture of white vinegar and water (run a cycle with the solution, then run 2 cycles with clean water).

Charcoal Filter: Replace the water filter every 60 brew cycles or every 2 months for best results.

CAUTION! Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads. Never immerse the base, cord, or plug in water or other liquids.
