Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on a clean, dry, level, and heat-resistant surface.

  1. Remove all packaging materials from inside and outside the coffeemaker.
  2. Wash the carafe, lid, and filter basket with warm, soapy water. Rinse and dry thoroughly.
  3. Insert the charcoal water filter into the filter holder (follow priming instructions).
  4. Plug the power cord into a standard 120V AC electrical outlet.

WARNING! Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven. Ensure the power cord does not hang over the edge of the counter.

First-Time Setup

Power on the coffeemaker; the LCD will illuminate.

  1. Set the Clock: Press and hold the HOUR and MINUTE buttons to set the current time.
  2. Prime the Water Filter: Soak the charcoal filter in water for 15 minutes, then run a full cycle of plain water through the coffeemaker (without coffee).
  3. Program Brew Time (Optional): Press PROGRAM, then use HOUR/MINUTE to set the desired brew time.
  4. Adjust Settings: Use the MENU/SETTINGS button to adjust auto shut-off time and keep-warm temperature.

Brewing Coffee

For best results, use fresh, cold water and medium grind coffee.

  1. Fill the water reservoir with desired amount of cold water.
  2. Place a #4 paper filter or the permanent filter into the filter basket.
  3. Add coffee grounds (1 tablespoon per cup, adjust to taste).
  4. Place the empty carafe on the warming plate.
  5. Press ON/OFF to start brewing immediately. For programmed brew, ensure "Program" light is on at the set time.
  6. Use Brew Pause & Serve to pour a cup during the brew cycle.
  7. After brewing, auto shut-off will engage after the selected time (0-4 hrs).

Tip: For 1-4 cups, the machine automatically adjusts brew time and temperature. Replace the charcoal water filter every 60 cycles or every 2 months.

Cleaning & Maintenance

Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and longevity.

  1. Daily: Wash carafe, lid, and filter basket in warm, soapy water. Do not immerse the base unit in water.
  2. Decalcification: Run a brewing cycle with a mixture of half white vinegar and half water monthly (or as needed based on water hardness). Follow with 2-3 cycles of plain water to rinse.
  3. Exterior: Wipe with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners.
  4. Charcoal Filter: Replace every 60 brew cycles or 2 months.

WARNING! Always unplug the unit and allow it to cool completely before cleaning. Never immerse the base, cord, or plug in water.

Care Instructions

Handle the glass carafe with care. Avoid sudden temperature changes.

CAUTION! Do not use cracked or chipped carafe. Do not use abrasive scouring pads or harsh cleaners. The warming plate surface is hot during and after use.
