Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on clean, dry, level surface.

  1. Remove all packaging materials from inside and outside the unit.
  2. Wash carafe, lid, and permanent filter with warm, soapy water. Rinse and dry.
  3. Insert charcoal water filter into filter holder (soak filter 15 minutes first).
  4. Place empty carafe on warming plate.
  5. Plug into 120V AC outlet.

WARNING! Do not immerse base, cord, or plug in water. Keep away from heat sources.

First-Time Setup

Power on coffee maker; follow initial setup steps.

  1. Set clock: Press and hold CLOCK, then use HOUR and MIN to set time.
  2. Program brew time: Press PROG, then set desired brew time using HOUR and MIN.
  3. Set auto shut-off: Press AUTO OFF to select duration (0, 1, 2, or 4 hours).
  4. Set 1-4 cup mode: Press 1-4 CUP to enable for small batches.

CAUTION! Ensure carafe is properly seated before brewing to prevent spills.

Brewing Coffee

Supports ground coffee; use permanent filter.

  1. Fill water reservoir: Use carafe to measure desired cups of water.
  2. Add coffee: Place filter in basket, add ground coffee (1 tbsp per cup).
  3. Start brewing: Press POWER to begin immediate brew, or wait for programmed time.
  4. Brew pause: Press POWER during brew to pause and pour a cup.
  5. Auto shut-off: Coffee maker turns off after selected time (0-4 hours).

Tip: For best results, use cold filtered water and fresh coffee grounds.

Cleaning & Maintenance

Unplug before cleaning. Wash carafe, lid, and filter after each use.

  1. Daily: Empty grounds, rinse filter and basket.
  2. Weekly: Wash carafe and lid with warm, soapy water.
  3. Monthly: Descale with vinegar solution (run brew cycle with half water, half vinegar, then rinse with two cycles of clean water).
  4. Filter replacement: Replace charcoal water filter every 60 cycles or 2 months.

CAUTION! Do not use abrasive cleaners; never immerse base in water.
