Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on a clean, dry, stable surface away from edges.

  1. Remove all packaging materials and stickers.
  2. Wash carafe, lid, and filter basket with warm, soapy water. Rinse and dry.
  3. Insert charcoal water filter into the filter holder in the water reservoir (soak filter for 15 minutes first).
  4. Plug power cord into a 120V AC outlet.

WARNING! Do not immerse coffeemaker, cord, or plug in water. Ensure hands are dry when handling.

First-Time Setup

Before first use, run a cleaning cycle without coffee.

  1. Fill water reservoir to MAX line with fresh, cold water.
  2. Place empty carafe on warming plate.
  3. Press and hold CLEAN button for 3 seconds to start cleaning cycle.
  4. After cycle completes, discard water from carafe.
  5. Set time: Press and hold CLOCK, then use HOUR and MIN buttons to set current time.

CAUTION! Do not use without water. Ensure carafe is properly positioned.

Control Panel: POWER, PROGRAM, HOUR, MIN, CLOCK, CLEAN, AUTO OFF, STRENGTH, WARM.

Buttons: POWER turns coffeemaker on/off. PROGRAM sets brew time. HOUR/MIN adjust time. CLOCK sets clock. CLEAN initiates cleaning cycle. AUTO OFF selects auto shut-off duration. STRENGTH selects regular or bold brew. WARM selects warming plate temperature (High/Low).

LCD Display: Shows current time, programmed brew time, auto-off setting, and cleaning indicator.

Brewing Coffee

For immediate brewing (non-programmed).

  1. Fill water reservoir with cold water to desired cup level.
  2. Place filter in filter basket (permanent or paper).
  3. Add ground coffee (1 tablespoon per cup, adjust to taste).
  4. Place empty carafe on warming plate.
  5. Press POWER to start brewing.
  6. Brew Pause: Press PAUSE to interrupt brewing and pour a cup.
  7. When brewing completes, audible alert sounds.

Tip: Use fresh, cold water and medium grind coffee for best results.

Programming

To program coffeemaker to brew at a later time.

  1. Set current time (see First-Time Setup).
  2. Fill water reservoir and add coffee grounds as usual.
  3. Press PROGRAM, then use HOUR and MIN to set desired brew time.
  4. Press PROGRAM again to confirm. "PROG" icon appears on display.
  5. Coffeemaker will automatically start brewing at set time.
  6. To cancel program, press and hold PROGRAM for 3 seconds until "PROG" icon disappears.

Note: Ensure power is connected at all times for programming to work.

Cleaning & Maintenance

Unplug before cleaning. Clean exterior with damp cloth; do not use abrasive cleaners.

  1. Daily: Empty and rinse carafe and filter basket.
  2. Weekly: Run cleaning cycle (press CLEAN) with vinegar solution (1 part vinegar to 2 parts water) to decalcify. Follow with 2 cycles of fresh water.
  3. Monthly: Replace charcoal water filter (soak new filter 15 minutes before inserting).
  4. Carafe: Hand wash only; not dishwasher safe.

CAUTION! Never immerse coffeemaker base in water. Do not use harsh chemicals.
