Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on clean, dry, level surface.

  1. Remove all packaging materials from inside and outside the unit.
  2. Wash carafe, permanent filter, and measuring scoop with warm, soapy water. Rinse and dry.
  3. Insert charcoal water filter into the filter holder in the water reservoir.
  4. Plug power cord into a 120V AC outlet.

WARNING! Do not immerse coffeemaker, cord, or plug in water. Keep away from heat sources.

First-Time Setup

Power on coffeemaker; set clock and preferences.

  1. Set the clock: Press and hold HOUR and MINUTE buttons to set current time.
  2. Prime the filter: Run a cycle with water only (no coffee) to remove any residues.
  3. Adjust keep-warm temperature: Press TEMP button to select LOW or HIGH.
  4. Set auto shut-off: Press AUTO OFF to choose duration (0-4 hours).

CAUTION! Ensure carafe is properly seated on warming plate before brewing.

Brewing Coffee

Supports regular and small-batch brewing.

  1. Fill reservoir: Add cold water up to desired cup level.
  2. Add coffee: Place filter in basket, add ground coffee (1 tbsp per cup).
  3. Select settings: Press 1-4 CUP if making less than 5 cups.
  4. Start brewing: Press POWER to brew immediately, or set PROGRAM for delayed brew.
  5. Pause and serve: Use BREW PAUSE to pour a cup during brewing.
  6. Auto keep-warm: Coffee stays warm on plate until auto shut-off.

Tip: Use filtered water for better taste and to reduce mineral buildup.

Cleaning & Maintenance

Unplug and cool before cleaning. Wash carafe and filter daily.

  1. Daily: Empty grounds, wash carafe and filter with warm, soapy water.
  2. Monthly: Descale with vinegar solution (1 part vinegar to 2 parts water). Run brewing cycle, then rinse with clean water.
  3. Filter: Replace charcoal water filter every 60 cycles or 2 months.
  4. Exterior: Wipe with damp cloth; do not use abrasive cleaners.

CAUTION! Never immerse base in water. Do not use harsh chemicals.
