Installation

Unpack and inspect all contents. Place on a clean, dry, level surface away from edges.

  1. Remove all packaging materials from inside and outside the coffeemaker.
  2. Wash the carafe, brew basket, and charcoal water filter holder with warm, soapy water. Rinse and dry thoroughly.
  3. Insert the charcoal water filter into the filter holder and place it in the water reservoir.
  4. Fill the water reservoir completely and run a brewing cycle with just water (no coffee) to clean the internal system. Discard this water.
  5. Plug the power cord into a standard 120V AC electrical outlet.

WARNING! Do not immerse the base, cord, or plug in water or other liquids. Ensure the carafe is properly positioned before brewing.

First-Time Setup

After cleaning cycle, the coffeemaker is ready for programming.

  1. Set the Clock: Press and hold the HOUR and MIN buttons to set the current time.
  2. Program Brew Time: Press the PROG button, then use HOUR and MIN to set the desired brew time. Press PROG again to confirm.
  3. Set Auto Shut-Off: Press the AUTO OFF button to cycle through shut-off delay options (0, 2, or 4 hours).
  4. For immediate brewing: Add coffee to the filter, fill the reservoir with water, and press the ON/AUTO OFF button.

CAUTION! Use only cold, fresh water. Do not use distilled or mineral water. Ensure the carafe lid is securely closed.

Cleaning & Maintenance

Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and coffee flavor.

  1. Daily: Empty and rinse the carafe and brew basket after each use.
  2. Weekly: Clean the exterior with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners.
  3. Monthly: Descale the coffeemaker using a commercial descaling solution or white vinegar solution (run a cycle with equal parts water and vinegar, then run 2-3 cycles with clean water).
  4. Filter Replacement: Replace the charcoal water filter every 60 brew cycles or every 2 months.

CAUTION! Unplug the coffeemaker before cleaning. Never immerse the base in water. The carafe is dishwasher safe (top rack only).

Programming & Operation

Supports scheduled brewing and manual operation.

  1. Manual Brew: Add coffee to filter, fill reservoir, press ON/AUTO OFF.
  2. Programmed Brew: Set the clock. Press PROG, set brew time with HOUR/MIN. Add coffee and water the night before. The coffeemaker will start automatically at the set time.
  3. Brew Pause: During brewing, you can briefly remove the carafe to pour a cup. Replace within 20 seconds to continue brewing.
  4. 1-4 Cup Setting: Press the 1-4 CUP button before brewing for optimal flavor with small amounts.
  5. Auto Shut-Off: Press AUTO OFF to select delay (0, 2, 4 hours) after brewing completes.

WARNING! Do not place the carafe on a heated surface or flame. The carafe is designed for use only with this coffeemaker.
