Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on clean, dry, level surface.

  1. Remove all packaging materials from inside and outside the coffeemaker.
  2. Wash carafe, brew basket, and charcoal filter holder with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly.
  3. Insert charcoal water filter into filter holder and soak in water for 15 minutes.
  4. Place filter holder in brew basket and install basket into coffeemaker.
  5. Plug into 120V AC outlet.

WARNING! Do not immerse coffeemaker, cord, or plug in water. Keep away from heat sources.

First-Time Setup

Power on coffeemaker; follow initial setup steps.

  1. Set the clock: Press and hold CLOCK button, then use HOUR and MIN buttons to set time.
  2. Prime the coffeemaker: Fill reservoir with water, place empty carafe on warming plate, press BREW.
  3. Adjust warming plate: Use WARMING PLATE button to select Low, Medium, or High.
  4. Set auto shut-off: Press AUTO OFF button to select 0, 2, or 4 hours.

CAUTION! Ensure carafe is properly seated on warming plate before brewing.

Cleaning & Maintenance

Daily: Empty and rinse carafe, brew basket, and filter holder. Weekly: Descale with vinegar solution.

  1. Unplug coffeemaker and allow to cool.
  2. Fill reservoir with equal parts white vinegar and water.
  3. Place empty carafe on warming plate, press BREW.
  4. After half carafe has brewed, turn off and let solution sit 30 minutes.
  5. Complete brewing cycle, then run 2-3 cycles with clean water.
  6. Replace charcoal filter every 60 cycles or 2 months.

Tip: Never use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.

Programming Guide

Set delayed brew time for automatic morning coffee.

  1. Ensure coffeemaker is on and clock is set correctly.
  2. Add water to reservoir and coffee to filter.
  3. Press PROGRAM button, then use HOUR and MIN to set desired brew time.
  4. Press PROGRAM again to confirm. "PROG" light will illuminate.
  5. Coffeemaker will automatically brew at set time.
  6. To cancel program, press and hold PROGRAM for 3 seconds.

WARNING! Ensure carafe is properly positioned; never brew without carafe in place.

Safety Features

Auto Shut-Off: Turns off warming plate after selected time (0, 2, or 4 hours). Brew Pause: Safely pause brewing to pour cup. Overheat Protection: Automatic shut-off if overheating detected.

Care & Storage

Unplug and cool completely before cleaning or storing. Store in dry place. Wrap cord around base.
