Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on clean, dry, level surface.

  1. Remove all packaging materials from carafe, filter basket, and coffeemaker.
  2. Wash carafe, lid, and permanent filter with warm, soapy water; rinse thoroughly.
  3. Insert charcoal water filter into filter holder (soak filter first for 15 minutes).
  4. Plug into standard 120V AC outlet.

WARNING! Do not immerse coffeemaker, cord, or plug in water. Keep away from heat sources.

First-Time Setup

Power on coffeemaker; follow initial setup steps.

  1. Set clock: Press and hold CLOCK button, use HOUR/MIN to set time.
  2. Prime water filter: Run a full cycle of water only (no coffee) through coffeemaker.
  3. Adjust settings: Use PROGRAM button to set auto shut-off time (0-4 hours).
  4. Test brew: Brew a pot of water to ensure proper operation.

CAUTION! Ensure carafe is properly seated on warming plate before brewing.

Brewing Coffee

  2. Add coffee: Place permanent filter in basket; add ground coffee (1 tbsp per cup).
  3. Start brewing: Press POWER to begin immediate brew, or set PROGRAM for delayed start.
  4. Pause and serve: Use BREW PAUSE to pour a cup during brewing.
  5. Auto keep-warm: Carafe keeps coffee warm on heating plate until auto shut-off.

Tip: For best flavor, use fresh, cold water and clean coffeemaker regularly.

Cleaning & Maintenance

Unplug before cleaning. Wash carafe, lid, and filter after each use.

  1. Daily: Empty and rinse carafe; wipe exterior with damp cloth.
  2. Monthly: Run self-cleaning cycle (vinegar solution) when CLEAN light illuminates.
  3. Filter: Replace charcoal water filter every 60 cycles or 2 months.
  4. Descale: Use vinegar solution to remove mineral deposits if water is hard.

CAUTION! Do not use abrasive cleaners; never immerse coffeemaker in water.
