Installation & Setup

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on a clean, dry, level surface away from edges.

  1. Remove all packaging materials and stickers.
  2. Wash carafe, filter basket, and permanent filter with warm, soapy water. Rinse and dry.
  3. Insert charcoal water filter into filter holder (soak filter first for 15 minutes).
  4. Place empty carafe on warming plate.
  5. Plug into a 120V AC outlet.

WARNING! Ensure the coffeemaker is on a stable, heat-resistant surface. Keep away from water sources.

First-Time Use

Before first brew, run a cleaning cycle with water only.

  1. Fill water reservoir with fresh water up to the 14-cup mark.
  2. Place empty carafe on warming plate.
  3. Press and hold the CLEAN button for 3 seconds to start cleaning cycle.
  4. Discard water after cycle completes.
  5. Repeat if desired. The coffeemaker is now ready for brewing.

CAUTION! Do not add coffee grounds during cleaning cycle. Ensure carafe is properly positioned.

Programming & Operation

Brewing coffee manually or with programmed start time.

  1. Set Clock: Press and hold HOUR and MIN to set current time.
  2. Manual Brew: Add water and coffee, press BREW to start immediately.
  3. Program Brew: Set desired brew time using PROGRAM, HOUR, MIN. Press BREW; "PROG" icon will display.
  4. Brew Pause: Press BREW PAUSE during brewing to pour a cup.
  5. Auto Shut-Off: Press AUTO OFF to select duration (0, 1, 2, 4 hours).

Tip: Use 1 tablespoon of coffee per cup (6 oz) for optimal flavor. Adjust to taste.

Cleaning & Maintenance

Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and longevity.

  1. Daily: Empty and rinse carafe and filter basket after each use.
  2. Weekly: Run clean cycle (press and hold CLEAN for 3 seconds) with water only.
  3. Monthly: Descale with vinegar solution (1 part vinegar to 2 parts water). Run clean cycle, then rinse with fresh water twice.
  4. Filter Replacement: Replace charcoal water filter every 60 brews or 2 months.

WARNING! Unplug before cleaning. Never immerse base in water. Use only mild detergents.

Safety Features

Auto Shut-Off: Programmable 0-4 hour shut-off after brewing. Brew Pause: Safe serving during brew cycle. Overheat Protection: Automatic shut-off if overheating detected.

Care Instructions
