Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on clean, dry, level surface.

  1. Remove all packaging materials from coffeemaker and carafe.
  2. Wash carafe and filter basket with warm, soapy water; rinse thoroughly.
  3. Insert charcoal water filter into filter holder (soak filter first).
  4. Place empty carafe on warming plate.
  5. Plug into 120V AC outlet.

WARNING! Do not immerse coffeemaker, cord, or plug in water. Keep away from heat sources.

First-Time Setup

Plug in coffeemaker; follow control panel prompts.

  1. Set time: Press HOUR and MINUTE buttons to set current time.
  2. Program brew time: Press PROGRAM, then set desired brew time.
  3. Insert filter: Place paper filter or permanent filter in basket.

WARNING! Do not remove carafe while brewing is in progress unless using brew pause.

Cleaning & Maintenance

Unplug before cleaning. Wash carafe and filter basket after each use.

  1. Daily: Empty and rinse carafe; wash with mild detergent.
  2. Monthly: Run self-clean cycle with vinegar solution (1 part vinegar to 2 parts water).
  3. Filter: Replace charcoal water filter every 60 cycles.
  4. Exterior: Wipe with damp cloth; do not use abrasive cleaners.

CAUTION! Never immerse coffeemaker base in water. Avoid harsh chemicals.
