First-Time Use & Setup

Before first brew, clean the coffeemaker by running a cycle with water only.

  1. Remove all packaging materials and stickers.
  2. Wash the carafe, lid, and filter basket in warm, soapy water. Rinse and dry.
  3. Insert the charcoal water filter into the holder in the water reservoir (soak filter first for 15 minutes).
  4. Fill the reservoir with fresh water to the MAX line and place an empty carafe on the warming plate.
  5. Press the POWER button to start a cleaning brew cycle. Discard the water.
  6. Set the clock: Press and hold CLOCK, then press HOUR and MINUTE to set the correct time.

CAUTION! Do not use without water in the reservoir. The heating element can be damaged.

Programming & Operation

Supports manual brew and automatic programmed brew.

  1. Manual Brew: Add water and coffee grounds. Press POWER. The "Brew" light will illuminate.
  2. Program Auto-On: Press and hold PROGRAM. Use HOUR/MINUTE to set desired brew time. Press AUTO ON to activate. The "Program" light will glow.
  3. Set Auto-Off: Press AUTO OFF repeatedly to cycle through warming plate durations (0, 2, or 4 hours).
  4. Use 1-4 Cup Setting: Press the 1-4 CUP button before starting brew for 1 to 4 cups of coffee.
  5. Brew Pause: Simply remove the carafe during brewing to pour a cup. Replace within 20 seconds to continue brewing.

Tip: For best results, use 1 level tablespoon of ground coffee per cup (as marked on carafe).

Cleaning & Maintenance

Unplug and allow to cool completely before cleaning.

CAUTION! Never immerse the base unit, cord, or plug in water.
