Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on clean, dry, level surface.

  1. Remove all packaging materials from inside and outside the coffeemaker.
  2. Wash carafe, brew basket, and charcoal filter holder with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly.
  3. Insert charcoal water filter into holder and soak in water for 5 minutes.
  4. Place filter holder into water reservoir.
  5. Plug into 120V AC outlet.

WARNING! Do not immerse coffeemaker base, cord, or plug in water. Ensure hands are dry when handling plug.

First-Time Setup

Power on coffeemaker; follow initial setup steps.

  1. Set time: Press and hold CLOCK button, use HOUR and MIN buttons to set current time.
  2. Prime the system: Fill reservoir with water, place empty carafe on warming plate, press BREW to run a cycle without coffee.
  3. Program auto brew: Press PROG, set desired brew time using HOUR and MIN.
  4. Adjust settings: Use BREW STRENGTH for regular/bold; WARMING PLATE for low/high.

CAUTION! Ensure carafe is properly seated on warming plate before brewing.

Brewing Coffee

Supports ground coffee; use medium grind for best results.

  1. Fill reservoir with cold water to desired cup level.
  2. Place filter in brew basket (paper or permanent).
  3. Add ground coffee: 1 tablespoon per cup (adjust to taste).
  4. Place carafe on warming plate.
  5. Press BREW to start immediate brewing, or wait for programmed time.
  6. Pause & Serve: Press PAUSE during brewing to pour a cup.
  7. When brewing completes, audible alert sounds; warming plate maintains temperature.

WARNING! Do not remove carafe while brewing unless using Pause & Serve feature. Hot liquid may spill.

Cleaning & Maintenance

Unplug before cleaning. Clean exterior with damp cloth; interior with self-clean cycle.

  1. Daily: Empty grounds, rinse carafe and brew basket.
  2. Weekly: Run self-clean cycle (press CLEAN).
  3. Monthly: Replace charcoal water filter.
  4. Descale: Use vinegar solution if mineral deposits appear (follow manual instructions).

CAUTION! Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads. Never immerse base in water.
