Installation & Setup

Unpack and inspect all parts. Place on a clean, dry, level surface near an electrical outlet.

  1. Remove all packaging materials from inside and outside the unit.
  2. Wash the carafe lid and filter basket with warm, soapy water. Rinse and dry.
  3. Insert the charcoal water filter into the holder in the water reservoir (soak filter first per instructions).
  4. Fill the water reservoir completely with cold water and run a brewing cycle without coffee to clean the system. Discard this water.

WARNING! Do not immerse the base, cord, or plug in water or other liquids. Handle the glass carafe with care.

First-Time Use

After the initial cleaning cycle, your coffeemaker is ready for programming and brewing.

  1. Set the Clock: Press and hold the HOUR and MIN buttons to set the correct time.
  2. Add Beans: Fill the bean hopper with your favorite whole coffee beans. Replace the lid.
  3. Select Settings: Choose your desired grind size (Coarse to Fine), brew strength (Regular/Bold), and number of cups (2-12).
  4. Program Auto Brew (Optional): Use the PROGRAM button to set a time for the coffeemaker to start automatically.

CAUTION! Ensure the carafe is properly seated on the warming plate before starting any brew cycle.

Grind Size: Adjust the dial from Coarse (for weaker coffee or French press style) to Fine (for stronger, espresso-like coffee). Brew Strength: Regular for standard flavor, Bold for a richer, more intense cup. Cup Selection: Always set this to match the amount of water in the reservoir for optimal brewing.

Programming the Clock & Timer

To set the clock and program the auto-brew function:

  1. Set Clock: Press and hold HOUR, then press MIN to adjust. Release when correct time is set.
  2. Set Auto Brew Time: Press PROGRAM. The display will flash. Use HOUR and MIN to set the desired start time.
  3. Confirm: Press PROGRAM again to confirm. The auto-brew icon will appear on the display.
  4. To Cancel: Press and hold PROGRAM for 3 seconds until the auto-brew icon disappears.

Tip: Ensure the bean hopper has enough beans and the reservoir has water before leaving it programmed overnight.

Grinding & Brewing Process

For best results, use fresh, cold water and whole coffee beans.

  1. Add Water: Fill the reservoir to the desired cup level.
  2. Add Beans: Ensure the bean hopper is filled. Adjust the grind size dial.
  3. Select Settings: Choose cup number and brew strength. Place the empty carafe on the warming plate.
  4. Start Brewing: Press the POWER button. The grinder will start, followed by the brewing cycle.
  5. Pause & Serve: You can press the BREW PAUSE lever during brewing to pour a cup early.
  6. Completion: An audible signal will sound when brewing is complete. The unit will shut off automatically.

WARNING! Never remove the carafe while brewing is in progress unless using the Pause & Serve feature, as hot coffee may spill.

Care & Cleaning

Regular cleaning ensures great-tasting coffee and long appliance life.

Daily: Discard used grounds. Rinse the filter basket and carafe. Wipe the warming plate with a damp cloth.
Monthly: Descale the interior with a vinegar solution (run a cycle with equal parts vinegar and water, then run 2 cycles with clean water). Clean the burr grinder with the provided brush.
Charcoal Filter: Replace the water filter every 60 brew cycles or every 2 months.

CAUTION! Unplug the unit and let it cool completely before cleaning. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.
