Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on a clean, dry, level surface.

  1. Remove all packaging materials from the carafe, filter, and unit.
  2. Wash the carafe, lid, and permanent filter with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly.
  3. Insert the charcoal water filter into the filter holder as per instructions.
  4. Fill the water reservoir with cold water to the desired level.
  5. Plug the power cord into a standard 120V AC outlet.

WARNING! Do not immerse the coffee maker, cord, or plug in water or other liquids. Ensure the carafe is properly seated before brewing.

First-Time Setup

Before first use, perform a cleaning cycle to remove any manufacturing residues.

  1. Fill the water reservoir to the MAX line with cold water.
  2. Place the empty carafe on the warming plate.
  3. Turn the unit ON and allow it to run through a full brew cycle without coffee.
  4. Discard the water. The unit is now ready for use.
  5. Set the clock: Press and hold the CLOCK button, then use HOUR and MIN buttons to set the time.
  6. To program the auto brew: Set the desired brew time using the PROGRAM button.

CAUTION! Use only cold water in the reservoir. Do not use without the filter in place.

Brewing Coffee

For best results, use fresh, cold water and medium grind coffee.

  1. Ensure the charcoal water filter is installed and the permanent filter is in place.
  2. Fill the water reservoir to the desired level using the water window as a guide.
  3. Add coffee grounds to the filter. Use one tablespoon per cup, or adjust to taste.
  4. Place the empty carafe on the warming plate.
  5. Press ON/OFF to start brewing. The display will show the brewing progress.
  6. To pause brewing, simply remove the carafe. Replace to continue.
  7. When brewing is complete, the unit will shut off automatically.

Tip: For optimal flavor, use the 1-4 cup setting when brewing fewer than 5 cups.

Cleaning & Maintenance

Regular cleaning ensures best performance and longevity.

  1. Daily: Wash carafe, lid, and permanent filter with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly.
  2. Monthly: Descale the unit to remove mineral deposits. Use a vinegar solution or commercial descaler.
  3. Charcoal Filter: Replace every 60 days or after 60 uses for optimal water filtration.
  4. Exterior: Wipe with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners.

Descaling Procedure: Fill reservoir with equal parts white vinegar and water. Run a brew cycle without coffee. Discard solution. Run two cycles with clean water to rinse.

Care Instructions

Unplug before cleaning. Do not immerse in water. Use only recommended cleaning agents.

CAUTION! Do not use the carafe on a stovetop or in a microwave. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive pads.
