Installation & Setup

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on clean, dry, level surface away from heat sources.

  1. Remove all packaging materials from carafe, filter basket, and water reservoir.
  2. Wash carafe, lid, filter basket, and permanent filter with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly.
  3. Insert charcoal water filter into filter holder in water reservoir (soak filter 15 minutes first).
  4. Fill water reservoir with cold water to maximum line and run a brewing cycle without coffee to clean system.
  5. Plug into 120V AC outlet.

WARNING! Do not immerse base, cord, or plug in water. Handle carafe with care to avoid breakage.

First-Time Use

Set clock and program auto-brew if desired.

  1. Set Clock: Press and hold CLOCK button, use HOUR and MIN buttons to set time.
  2. Program Auto-Brew: Press PROG button, set brew time using HOUR/MIN, press PROG again to confirm.
  3. Select Brew Strength: Press STRENGTH button to choose Regular or Bold.
  4. Set Auto Shut-Off: Press AUTO OFF button to select 0, 2, or 4 hours.

Programming & Customization

Brewing Coffee

Use fresh, cold water and quality coffee grounds.

  1. Fill reservoir with cold water to desired cup level (1-12).
  2. Insert permanent filter into brew basket; add coffee grounds (1 tbsp per cup).
  3. Place empty carafe on warming plate; ensure lid is closed.
  4. Press BREW button to start manual brew (or wait for auto-brew if programmed).
  5. Use BREW PAUSE feature to pour a cup during brewing (pause for more than 20 seconds may affect temperature).
  6. When brewing completes, audible signal will sound; carafe keeps coffee hot for hours.

WARNING! Do not remove carafe during brewing unless using brew pause feature. Hot liquid may spill.

Cleaning & Maintenance

Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and longevity.

  1. Daily: Wash carafe, lid, and filter basket with warm, soapy water.
  2. Monthly: Run self-cleaning cycle (add vinegar solution to reservoir, press CLEAN button).
  3. Filter: Replace charcoal water filter every 60 days or after 60 uses.
  4. Exterior: Wipe with damp cloth; do not use abrasive cleaners.
  5. Descale: If in hard water area, descale every 3-6 months with vinegar solution.
