Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on clean, dry, level surface.

  1. Remove all packaging materials from coffeemaker and carafe.
  2. Wash carafe, filter basket, and scoop with warm, soapy water; rinse thoroughly.
  3. Insert charcoal water filter into filter holder (soak filter first for 15 minutes).
  4. Fill water reservoir with cold water to maximum line and run a cleaning cycle without coffee.
  5. Plug into 120V AC outlet.

WARNING! Do not immerse coffeemaker base, cord, or plug in water. Handle carafe with care to avoid breakage.

First-Time Setup

Plug in coffeemaker; follow initial setup steps.

  1. Set time: Press and hold CLOCK button, use HOUR and MIN buttons to set current time.
  2. Program auto-brew: Press PROG button, set desired brew time using HOUR and MIN.
  3. Set auto-shutoff: Press AUTO OFF button to select shutoff time (0-4 hours).

Brewing Coffee

  4. Press POWER to start brewing (or wait for programmed time).
  5. Use brew pause feature to pour cup during brewing (press PAUSE).
  6. When brewing complete, carafe keeps coffee hot for hours.
  7. To program auto-brew: Set time, press PROG, set brew time, add water and coffee the night before.

WARNING! Do not remove carafe during brewing except during brew pause. Use caution as coffee and surfaces are hot.

Cleaning & Maintenance

Unplug before cleaning. Clean exterior with damp cloth; clean carafe, filter basket, and scoop after each use.

  1. Self-cleaning: Press CLEAN button when indicator flashes; run cycle with vinegar solution (half water, half vinegar).
  2. Descale monthly: Use vinegar solution or commercial descaler.
  3. Replace charcoal water filter every 60 days or after 60 uses.
  4. Clean thermal carafe with warm, soapy water; do not immerse lid.

CAUTION! Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads. Never immerse base in water.
