Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on clean, dry, level surface.

  1. Remove all packaging materials and stickers.
  2. Wash carafe, lid, and filter basket with warm soapy water; rinse and dry.
  3. Install charcoal water filter: Soak filter in water for 15 minutes, then insert into filter holder.
  4. Plug into 120V AC outlet.

WARNING! Do not immerse coffeemaker, cord, or plug in water. Ensure hands are dry before handling.

First-Time Setup

Power on coffeemaker; follow initial setup steps.

  1. Set clock: Press and hold CLOCK, use HOUR/MINUTE to set time.
  2. Prime water system: Fill reservoir with water, place empty carafe, press BREW to run water through.
  3. Select grind setting: Turn grind control to desired coarseness (recommend medium for first use).
  4. Program brew time: Press PROGRAM, set desired brew start time.

CAUTION! Ensure carafe is properly seated on warming plate before brewing.

Brewing Coffee

Supports whole beans or pre-ground coffee.

  1. Fill water reservoir with desired amount of water.
  2. Add whole beans to grinder hopper or pre-ground coffee to filter basket.
  3. Select grind setting (if using whole beans) and brew strength.
  4. Place empty carafe on warming plate.
  5. Press BREW to start immediate brewing, or set PROGRAM for delayed brew.
  6. During brewing, PAUSE & SERVE allows serving coffee.
  7. After brewing, auto shutoff turns off warming plate after 2 hours.

WARNING! Do not remove carafe during brewing unless using Pause & Serve feature.

Cleaning & Maintenance

Unplug before cleaning. Clean carafe, lid, and filter basket after each use.

  1. Descale monthly: Use vinegar solution (1 part vinegar to 2 parts water) and run brew cycle.
  2. Clean grinder: Wipe hopper with dry cloth; do not immerse in water.
  3. Replace charcoal filter every 60 days or after 60 uses.
  4. Wipe exterior with damp cloth; no abrasive cleaners.

CAUTION! Do not use harsh chemicals; ensure all parts are dry before reassembly.
