Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on clean, dry, level surface.

  1. Remove all packaging materials from inside and outside the unit.
  2. Wash carafe, lid, and filter basket with warm, soapy water. Rinse and dry.
  3. Insert charcoal water filter into the reservoir (soak filter first for 15 minutes).
  4. Plug power cord into a 120V AC outlet.

WARNING! Do not immerse unit, cord, or plug in water. Keep away from heat sources.

First-Time Setup

Before first use, run a brewing cycle with water only to clean the system.

  1. Fill water reservoir to MAX line with fresh water.
  2. Place empty carafe on warming plate.
  3. Press the BREW button to start cycle.
  4. Discard water after cycle completes.
  5. Set clock time: Press and hold CLOCK, use HOUR and MIN buttons.

CAUTION! Ensure carafe is properly seated before brewing to prevent spills.

Grind Control Dial: Located on bean hopper; turn to adjust grind size (fine to coarse).

Brewing Coffee

For best results, use fresh, cold water and whole beans.

  1. Fill water reservoir to desired level.
  2. Add whole beans to hopper (up to MAX line).
  3. Set grind size using dial (medium recommended).
  4. Place empty carafe on warming plate.
  5. Select brew strength (REGULAR or BOLD).
  6. Press BREW to start cycle.
  7. Serve using PAUSE & SERVE feature if needed.

Tip: For pre-ground coffee, fill filter basket, press GRIND OFF, then BREW.

Cleaning & Maintenance

Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and longevity.

  1. Daily: Wash carafe, lid, and filter basket after each use.
  2. Monthly: Descale with vinegar solution (run brew cycle with equal parts vinegar and water, then rinse with fresh water twice).
  3. Grinder Cleaning: Unplug, wipe hopper with dry cloth; do not wash.
  4. Charcoal Filter: Replace every 60 days or as needed.

WARNING! Unplug before cleaning. Never immerse unit in water.

Programming the Timer

Set the timer to wake up to freshly brewed coffee.

  1. Ensure clock is set correctly.
  2. Fill water reservoir and add beans to hopper.
  3. Press PROGRAM; LCD will blink.
  4. Use HOUR and MIN to set desired brew time.
  5. Press PROGRAM again to confirm.
  6. LED indicator will show timer is set.

To cancel: Press and hold PROGRAM until indicator turns off.

Care & Storage

Unplug and cool completely before storing. Store in a dry place.

CAUTION! Do not use abrasive cleaners; avoid storing with cord wrapped tightly.
