Installation & Setup

Unpack and inspect all parts. Place on a clean, dry, level surface near a power outlet.

  1. Remove all packaging materials and stickers.
  2. Wash the carafe, lid, and water reservoir with warm, soapy water. Rinse and dry.
  3. Insert the charcoal water filter into the reservoir (soak filter first for 15 minutes).
  4. Fill the water reservoir to the desired level (up to 14 cups).
  5. Plug the power cord into a 120V AC outlet.

WARNING! Do not immerse the coffeemaker base, cord, or plug in water. Keep away from heat sources.

First-Time Use

Before first brew, run a cleaning cycle with water only (no coffee).

  1. Fill the water reservoir to the MAX line.
  2. Place an empty carafe on the warming plate.
  3. Press the POWER button to turn on the unit.
  4. Press and hold the CLEAN button for 3 seconds to start the cleaning cycle.
  5. Allow the full cycle to complete (about 30 minutes). Discard the water.
  6. The coffeemaker is now ready for programming and brewing.

CAUTION! The warming plate and carafe will become hot during operation.

Programming: Set brew time using PROGRAM, HOUR, MIN. Strength: Press STRENGTH to toggle between Regular and Bold. Grind Off: Press to bypass grinder for pre-ground coffee. Auto Off: Set shut-off delay (0, 1, 2, 3, 4 hours). Clean: Initiates cleaning cycle.

Programming the Coffeemaker

To program the coffeemaker to brew at a specific time:

  1. Press POWER to turn on. The LCD will show the current time or "--:--".
  2. Set the clock: Press and hold PROGRAM, then press HOUR and MIN to set the correct time. Release PROGRAM.
  3. Set brew time: Press PROGRAM once. Use HOUR and MIN to set the desired brew time. Press PROGRAM again to confirm.
  4. Set strength: Press STRENGTH to select Regular or Bold.
  5. Set auto off: Press AUTO OFF to select shut-off delay (0-4 hours).
  6. Add coffee beans to the hopper or pre-ground coffee to the filter basket.
  7. Fill the water reservoir. The coffeemaker will now brew at the programmed time.

Tip: For immediate brewing, set the program time to the current time.

Grinder Operation

The built-in burr grinder ensures fresh ground coffee for each pot.

  1. Lift the lid of the bean hopper (on top of the unit).
  2. Add whole coffee beans. Do not exceed the MAX line.
  3. Close the lid securely.
  4. To adjust grind size: Turn the grind selector knob (inside the hopper) from Coarse to Fine.
  5. For pre-ground coffee: Place ground coffee in the filter basket and press GRIND OFF.
  6. During brewing, the grinder will automatically grind the beans before water flows.

WARNING! Never operate the grinder without beans or with the hopper lid open. Keep fingers away.

Cleaning & Maintenance

Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and longevity.

Daily: Discard used grounds, rinse carafe and filter basket. Wipe exterior with a damp cloth.

Weekly/Monthly:

  1. Run a cleaning cycle: Fill reservoir with equal parts water and white vinegar. Press and hold CLEAN. After cycle, run two cycles with clean water.
  2. Clean the grinder: Unplug unit. Remove bean hopper and clean with a dry brush. Wipe burrs with a dry cloth.
  3. Replace charcoal water filter every 60 days or as needed.

CAUTION! Unplug before cleaning. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse in water.
