Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on clean, dry, level surface.

  1. Remove all packaging materials from coffeemaker and carafe.
  2. Wash carafe, brew basket, and charcoal filter with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly.
  3. Insert charcoal water filter into filter holder in water reservoir.
  4. Place empty carafe on warming plate.
  5. Plug into 120V AC outlet.

WARNING! Ensure hands are dry before plugging in. Keep away from water sources.

First-Time Setup

Power on coffeemaker; follow initial setup steps.

  1. Prime the coffeemaker: Fill reservoir with water, run a brew cycle without coffee.
  2. Set clock: Press CLOCK, use HOUR/MINUTE buttons to set current time.
  3. Install filter: Place permanent or paper filter in brew basket.
  4. Adjust settings: Set auto-shutoff time and keep-warm temperature as desired.

CAUTION! Do not operate without water in reservoir. Ensure carafe is properly seated.

Brewing Coffee

Supports ground coffee; use paper or permanent filter.

  1. Fill reservoir: Remove reservoir, fill with cold water to desired cup level.
  2. Add coffee: Place filter in basket, add ground coffee (1 tbsp per cup).
  3. Select strength: Press STRENGTH for Bold or Regular.
  4. Start brewing: Press BREW to start immediately, or set PROGRAM for delayed brew.
  5. Pause and serve: Use BREW PAUSE to pour cup during brewing.
  6. Keep warm: Coffee stays warm on adjustable plate until auto-shutoff.

Tip: Use fresh, cold water and medium grind coffee for best results.

Cleaning & Maintenance

Daily: Empty carafe and brew basket; rinse with warm water. Weekly: Clean carafe, basket, and reservoir with mild detergent. Monthly: Descale with vinegar solution using self-clean function.

  1. Self-clean: Fill reservoir with equal parts water and white vinegar.
  2. Press CLEAN button; cycle runs for 30 minutes.
  3. Rinse by running two cycles with clean water only.
  4. Replace charcoal filter every 60 brew cycles or 2 months.

WARNING! Unplug before cleaning. Never immerse base in water.

Programming Guide

Set delayed brew: Press PROGRAM, use HOUR/MINUTE to set brew time, press PROGRAM again to confirm. Auto Shut-Off: Press AUTO ON/OFF repeatedly to select 0, 2, or 4 hours. Keep-Warm: Press KEEP WARM to toggle between Low and High.

Care Instructions

Unplug before cleaning. Wipe exterior with damp cloth; dry immediately. Do not use abrasive cleaners.

CAUTION! Do not use carafe on stovetop or in microwave. Avoid extreme temperature changes.
