Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on stable, level surface.

  1. Remove all packaging materials and stickers.
  2. Fill water tank: Remove tank, fill with fresh cold water, reinsert.
  3. Plug into AC power (120V, 60Hz).
  4. Place empty portafilter into group head and run water through machine to flush system (see First-Time Setup).

WARNING! Ensure machine is unplugged during initial setup. Keep away from water sources to prevent electric shock.

First-Time Setup

Power on machine; allow to heat up (approx. 2 minutes).

  1. Initial rinse: Place cup under steam wand, turn steam knob to flush water through system.
  2. Prime pump: Press ESPRESSO button without coffee to circulate water.
  3. Set preferences: Use PROGRAM button to adjust coffee strength and temperature.
  4. Insert filter basket: Choose single or double shot basket into portafilter.

CAUTION! Surfaces become hot during use. Do not touch heating elements or steam wand.

Controls and Settings

Access functions via front panel buttons. Front Panel: POWER, ESPRESSO (single/double), STEAM, HOT WATER, PROGRAM.

Indicator Lights: Power (green), Ready (orange), Steam (red).

Programming: Press and hold PROGRAM to enter settings mode; use ESPRESSO buttons to adjust shot volume (25-60ml) and temperature (low/medium/high). Default settings: Double shot (60ml), Medium temperature.

Brewing Coffee

Use freshly ground espresso coffee.

  1. Preheat: Ensure machine is on and ready light is illuminated.
  2. Dose: Fill filter basket with ground coffee, level, and tamp firmly.
  3. Insert: Lock portafilter into group head.
  4. Brew: Place cup under portafilter, press ESPRESSO button (single or double).
  5. Stop: Press button again to stop brewing early, or let automatic cycle finish.

Tip: Use filtered water to prevent scale buildup and improve taste.

Frothing Milk

For cappuccino or latte.

  1. Fill pitcher: Use cold milk (1/3 full for frothing).
  2. Purge wand: Turn steam knob briefly to clear condensation.
  3. Froth: Submerge wand tip just below milk surface, turn knob fully open.
  4. Texture: Lower pitcher as foam expands to maintain vortex.
  5. Clean: Wipe wand immediately after use with damp cloth.

WARNING! Steam is extremely hot. Keep hands and face away from steam wand.

Cleaning & Maintenance

Daily: Empty drip tray, rinse portafilter and basket. Weekly: Backflush with cleaning tablet (descaling cycle). Monthly: Descale machine with vinegar solution or commercial descaler.

CAUTION! Unplug machine and allow to cool completely before cleaning. Never immerse machine in water.
