Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on stable, level surface.

  1. Remove all packaging materials and stickers.
  2. Fill water tank: Remove tank, fill with fresh cold water, reinsert securely.
  3. Plug into AC power outlet (120V, 60Hz).
  4. Prime the machine: Turn on, run water through group head without coffee to flush system.

WARNING! Ensure machine is unplugged during filling. Keep away from water sources to prevent electric shock.

First-Time Setup

Power on machine; allow to heat up (approx. 3 minutes).

  1. Program shot volume: Press and hold PROGRAM, press BREW to start/stop flow, release PROGRAM to save.
  2. Set temperature: Press PROGRAM repeatedly to cycle through temperature settings (Low, Medium, High).
  3. Insert portafilter: Ensure basket is locked into group head securely.
  4. Run initial brew: Brew water only to season machine and warm components.

CAUTION! Surfaces become hot during use. Handle portafilter and steam wand with care.

Making Espresso

Use finely ground espresso beans for best results.

  1. Grind coffee: Use 7-9 grams for single shot, 14-18 grams for double.
  2. Dose and tamp: Fill portafilter basket, level grounds, tamp firmly.
  3. Insert portafilter: Lock into group head until resistance is felt.
  4. Brew: Place cup under spout, press BREW. Extraction should take 25-30 seconds.
  5. Stop: Press BREW again or let programmed volume stop automatically.

Tip: Preheat cups on warming tray. Use fresh, cold water for optimal taste.

Frothing Milk

Use whole milk for best froth; ensure steam wand is clean.

  1. Fill pitcher: Use cold milk, fill no more than halfway.
  2. Purge wand: Press STEAM briefly to release water condensation.
  3. Froth: Submerge wand tip just below milk surface, turn on steam. Lower pitcher as foam builds.
  4. Stop: Press STEAM again when milk reaches desired temperature (approx. 150°F).
  5. Clean wand: Wipe immediately with damp cloth; purge briefly to clear milk residue.

WARNING! Steam wand becomes extremely hot. Never touch during or immediately after use.

Cleaning & Maintenance

Daily: Wipe exterior with damp cloth; clean steam wand after each use. Weekly: Backflush with cleaning tablet (if applicable). Monthly: Descale with vinegar solution or commercial descaler.

CAUTION! Unplug before cleaning. Never immerse machine in water. Use only recommended cleaning agents.
