Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on stable, level surface.

  1. Remove all packaging materials and stickers.
  2. Fill water tank: Remove tank, fill with fresh cold water, reinsert.
  3. Plug into AC power outlet (120V, 60Hz).
  4. Place drip tray and cup warming tray in position.
  5. Insert filter basket into portafilter.

WARNING! Ensure machine is unplugged during installation. Keep away from water sources to prevent electric shock.

First-Time Setup

Power on machine; allow to heat up (approx. 2 minutes).

  1. Initial rinse: Run water through machine without coffee to clean internal components.
  2. Program settings: Use PROGRAM button to set desired coffee volume and temperature.
  3. Prime the pump: Press brew button until water flows steadily.
  4. Test frother: Turn steam knob to release condensed water from wand.

Tip: Use fresh, finely ground coffee for best results. Tamp firmly.

Using the Milk Frother

For cappuccinos, lattes, and hot milk.

  1. Fill pitcher: Use cold milk (½ full for frothing).
  2. Purge wand: Turn steam knob briefly to clear condensation.
  3. Submerge wand: Place tip just below milk surface.
  4. Activate steam: Turn knob fully open; froth until desired texture.
  5. Stop: Turn knob closed; wipe wand with damp cloth.
  6. Pour: Add frothed milk to espresso.

WARNING! Steam wand is extremely hot. Always purge and wipe after use.

Cleaning & Maintenance

Daily: Empty drip tray, rinse water tank, wipe housing. Weekly: Clean portafilter and baskets, descale if needed. Monthly: Deep clean group head with cleaning tablet.

Descaling: Use Cuisinart descaling solution; run through machine as per instructions.

CAUTION! Unplug before cleaning. Never immerse machine in water.
