Assembly & Installation

Unpack and inspect all components. Place on clean, stable, dry surface.

  1. Attach grinding head: Align with motor unit and twist to lock securely.
  2. Insert cutting blade: Place sharp edge facing outward against grinding plate.
  3. Select grinding plate: Choose desired plate (fine, medium, coarse) and place against blade.
  4. Secure ring: Thread locking ring onto grinding head and tighten firmly by hand.
  5. Attach feed tube: Push onto front of grinding head until snug.
  6. Plug into AC power outlet.

WARNING! Ensure unit is unplugged during assembly. Do not force parts; they should fit smoothly.

First-Time Use

Before first use, wash all removable parts (except motor unit) in warm, soapy water. Rinse and dry thoroughly.

  1. Assemble grinder as described in Assembly section.
  2. Cut meat into 1-inch cubes, removing excess sinew and bone.
  3. Partially freeze meat (30 minutes) for cleaner grinding.
  4. Place bowl or tray under grinding head to catch output.
  5. Turn ON switch to begin grinding. Use food pusher to guide meat.
  6. After use, turn OFF, unplug, and disassemble for cleaning.

CAUTION! Never put fingers into feed tube. Always use food pusher.

Controls and Functions

Front Panel: ON/OFF switch, REVERSE button. Feed Tube: Accepts food pieces. Locking Ring: Secures grinding assembly.

Operation: ON for forward grinding; OFF to stop; REVERSE to clear jams (hold button).

Grinding Plates: Fine for pâtés and baby food; Medium for burgers and meatloaf; Coarse for chili and sausages. Sausage Tube: Attaches in place of grinding plate for stuffing casings. Food Pusher: Use to safely push food into grinder.

Grinding Operations

For best results, use cold, trimmed meat cut into 1-inch cubes.

  1. Assemble with desired grinding plate.
  2. Place catching container under output.
  3. Plug in and turn ON.
  4. Feed meat cubes into tube using food pusher.
  5. Let grinder process; do not force meat.
  6. If jam occurs, turn OFF, unplug, then use REVERSE function or disassemble to clear.
  7. After grinding, turn OFF, unplug, and disassemble.

Tip: Grind tough meats twice: first with coarse plate, then with fine or medium.

Sausage Making

Requires sausage stuffing tube and casings.

  1. Soak casings in warm water per package instructions.
  2. Assemble grinder with sausage tube (no grinding plate).
  3. Slide casing onto tube, leaving 4 inches hanging.
  4. Turn ON grinder and feed ground meat mixture into tube.
  5. Guide casing off tube as it fills, avoiding overstuffing.
  6. Twist or tie filled sausage into links.
  7. After use, clean tube thoroughly.

WARNING! Ensure meat mixture is well-chilled. Do not stuff casings too tightly.

Safety Features

Locking Mechanism: Prevents operation if not properly assembled. Food Pusher: Keeps hands away from blade. Overload Protection: Motor may stop if overloaded; unplug and clear jam before resuming.

Care & Cleaning

Unplug and disassemble after each use. Wash removable parts in warm, soapy water; rinse and dry thoroughly. Wipe motor unit with damp cloth; do not immerse. Periodically lubricate gears with food-safe mineral oil.

CAUTION! Never immerse motor unit in water. Ensure all parts are completely dry before storage.
