Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on a stable, level surface near a power outlet.

  1. Remove all packaging materials and stickers.
  2. Fill the water tank with fresh, cold water and reinsert.
  3. Plug the power cord into a 120V AC outlet.
  4. Prime the machine by running a water cycle without coffee.

WARNING! Ensure the machine is placed on a heat-resistant surface away from edges. Keep away from children.

First-Time Setup

Power on the machine; allow it to heat up (indicator light will show).

  1. Set the grind size: Turn the grind control dial to medium setting.
  2. Program cup size: Press and hold the program button until desired volume is reached.
  3. Set coffee strength: Use the strength button to select mild, medium, or strong.
  4. Run a cleaning cycle: Brew without coffee to flush the system.

CAUTION! Do not touch hot surfaces during heating. Use handles only.

Brewing Espresso

Supports illy pods or ground coffee.

  1. Ensure machine is heated (Ready light on).
  2. Insert illy pod or fill portafilter with ground coffee.
  3. Lock portafilter into group head.
  4. Place cup under portafilter.
  5. Press single or double shot button to start brewing.
  6. Stop brewing manually or let automatic program finish.
  7. Remove portafilter and discard used coffee.

Tip: Preheat cups with hot water for better temperature retention.

Frothing Milk

Use the steam wand for cappuccinos and lattes.

  1. Ensure steam lever is in off position.
  2. Fill a pitcher with cold milk (about 1/3 full).
  3. Turn steam lever to ON; wait for steam to flow fully.
  4. Submerge wand tip just below milk surface; froth until desired texture.
  5. Turn steam lever OFF; wipe wand with damp cloth immediately.
  6. Pour frothed milk into espresso.

WARNING! Steam is extremely hot. Keep hands clear and use caution.

Cleaning & Maintenance

Daily: Empty drip tray, rinse portafilter, wipe steam wand. Weekly: Descale with approved solution; clean water tank. Monthly: Remove and clean burr grinder.

CAUTION! Unplug before cleaning. Never immerse machine in water. Use only recommended cleaning agents.
